can call out but register failed. Error is:
Register Failed: 401 Unauthorized

System is up? I don't think so because a lot of my friends who are using the same service said that it is down.

Glad you got this working. When you open this thread, I checked the status of my FPL lines (at home) and they were all working. (placed test calls to and from the FPL line)
Perhaps your ISP had an issue- I am with Rogers cable(using open DNS) in Kitchener Ontario.

no offense, but doubtfull all these other folks and I are all on the same ISP. All I am saying is sometimes it seems the support is too quick to dismiss the forum and assume the issue is at the individual's side. If your phone was working, likely it hadn't had to re-register yet.

Hi everyone, FPL tech support actually reached out and called me about this! Quite a bit different from just last year when tickets would go answered.
I am satisfied that the tech did his process and concluded the servers are up.
I still maintain that there is a hiccup in the process and that there were too many people down from different parts of the country to not have a FPL issue, but they are trying to research it.

I experienced this outage as well and I'm also from Kitchener. It lasted for about 15-20 minutes. There was no dialtone and when Id call my FPL number from a cell it would go straight to voicemail. If you see the attached image you will notice under the disconnect reason "Number Changed".... What does that mean? Once the service was restored everything is back to normal now... Thanks..
