This is quite bizarre:
I moved my OBi200 to my daughter's place. It worked well at my house, we tested with her new unlock code & number, everything was fine. I thought it would be just a plug & play at her house. However, outbound calls get this message "the number you've dialed xxx-xxxx-xxxx has not received a response from the service provider.". Incoming calls go directly to FPL voice mail without ringing the line.
OBi200 is set up as SP1
At my house I replaced Obi200 with Obi202. Everything worked well until yesterday when exactly the same problem developed as with my daughters' ATA.
OBi202 as SP1
GV as SP2
set up using Liptonbrisk's guide http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 094#p74094
Two different numbers, two different ATAs and routers. Anyone knows whats happening?

Re: " has not received a response from the service provider"
Have you gone through the steps at http://www.obihai.com/support/troubleshooting/start?
Does the issue occur 10 minutes after rebooting your modem, router, and then ATA in that order?
What is the registration status of FPL in the ATA?
Is SIP ALG disabled in your R8000?
Is the device your ISP gave you in bridge mode?

Re: " has not received a response from the service provider"
I rebooted my OBi202 (through the portal) and that solved the problem at my house.
I don;t think that will help my daughter since when I was there I rebooted it many times after each step of trying to fix it. She may have to reset it to factory settings and start from fresh.

Each time you have this problem, you should be checking the registration status of FPL in your ATA. This is important troubleshooting information that you are not providing.xaveryptak wrote:I rebooted my OBi202 (through the portal) and that solved the problem at my house.
If your issue corresponds with a new IP address being leased by your modem, or your modem losing connectivity to the internet and then reconnecting, that would also be good to know.
If you keep encountering issues every 10 minutes, like clockwork, it's an issue with your R8000. Older versions of the R7000 official firmware had horrible problems with FPL.
You might want to try Tomato: https://www.myopenrouter.com/blog/r8000 ... -available. Then ask Mango for help with Tomato. I'm not that familiar with it.
Typically, if rebooting helps, it's a corrupted NAT connection issue between the router and the ATA.
Proper reboot sequence is always modem, router, and ATA, in that order. If the Obihai echo test isn't working for her (or you when you're experiencing problems), the issue has nothing to with FPL.I don;t think that will help my daughter since when I was there I rebooted it many times after each step of trying to fix it. She may have to reset it to factory settings and start from fresh.
It's almost always a router issue in that case.
Lastly, it's not a good idea to be using the default FPL profile at Obitalk.com to configure FPL.

Re: " has not received a response from the service provider"
OBi202 at my house has been working fine since my last post however my daughter's OBi200 is still out of order. Hers is connected to a Cisco router. I sent her instructions how to reset it to factory defaults and we will start from fresh once she has a chance to do it..
My OBi202
Does the issue occur 10 minutes after rebooting your modem, router, and then ATA in that order?
I rebooted only ATA through its interface and the fix seems to be permanent for now
What is the registration status of FPL in the ATA?
Do you check it in the OBI interface or OBiTalk?
Is SIP ALG disabled in your R8000?
yes, it is -thanks to your advice on RFD long time ago
Is the device your ISP gave you in bridge mode?
A modem? how do I check that?

Re: " has not received a response from the service provider"
It only matters if the device your ISP gave you also contains a router. Contact your ISP.xaveryptak wrote: A modem? how do I check that?
If the device does contain a router, ask them how to enable bridge mode in it.
