That test is useless since it always fails even when two-audio works perfectly fine.
Freephoneline only allows one device registration per account at any time. Only the most recently registered device will ring.
If you make more than 5 registration attempts within a 5 minute period, you'll end up with a temporary IP ban from the specific FPL SIP server used.
You can not use the FPL desktop app and an ATA or IP phone simultaneously using the same FPL account. Furthermore, if the desktop app and your ATA/IP phone have collectively made over 5 registration attempts within a 5 minute period, you'll end up being temporarily IP banned.
For issues with the desktop app, visit http://forums.redflagdeals.com/freephon ... #p26925939. Look at the second half of that post starting with the letter "A", and read all the way to the bottom down to and including step vi.
In particular, "Make sure that you're not muting anything (microphone/speakers), and that you tested to ensure your mic is working before fiddling around with the app: http://win10faq.com/fix-microphone-settings/"

Re: FPL Desktop App 3.2.7.0: - " ... Port 13000 should be ..
thanks Liptonbrisk for reply, but all points are NOT what I wrote or what are applicable here.
1) I did not say that this FPL # has configuration file. It is parked-only FPL #.
So there is NO "number of registration per account at any time " issue at all.
2) Issue of "... only ... will ring".
I wrote explicitly
"... incoming call rings ...
... outgoing call ... reach destination phone ..."
so, ringing in both directions is not the issue .
3)
As for " ... muting anything (microphone/speakers) .." ,
of course that nothing is muted - speakers are palying FONGO's / FPL's email-delivered voice messages, among others ..
Let's on "no sound" issue concentrate on speakers first - it is easier to track / troubleshoot .
When there is "sound" on speaker, this issue is resolved.

so, rings both ways, no mute , but no sound ....

Okay, you have an ATA, so I wasn't sure. Regardless, some people are unaware of that issue in general.rad wrote: 1) I did not say that this FPL # has configuration file.
Yes, I understand. However, I'm talking about proper two-way audio. It's still a potential issue involving RTP packets not reaching the FPL desktop app and data not reaching FPL's server, which means practically everything in the link below, which is the same as the one in my initial reply, matters. The issue may be related to a faulty SIP ALG/SPI feature.2) Issue of "... only ... will ring".

Unfortunately, I know of no way to switch to voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 using the FPL desktop app. voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 is intended to help circumvent SIP ALG issues.
I would still go through these steps listed, including step iv: http://forums.redflagdeals.com/freephon ... #p26925939
http://hmxhp.cloudapp.net/gw/products/p ... hp?gid=526LAN from cable /DOCSIS modem - router HG100RE-02 ("No firewall - All ports available")
The hg100re-02 does have a firewall. Are you saying you disabled it? Regardless even if the firewall is disabled, there's no proof that RTP (UDP audio stream) is actually reaching the FPL desktop app.
It's unlikely your ISP disabled the firewall since doing so would be a security risk, and if that HG100RE-02 has a SIP ALG feature (possibly hidden) enabled that could cause issues.
Muted microphone would affect outgoing audio.As for " ... muting anything (microphone/speakers) .." ,
of course that nothing is muted - speakers are palying FONGO's / FPL's email-delivered voice messages, among others
The first step is to always ensure mic and speakers are working properly. You've now clarified that your speakers are working but not your microphone (I'll take your word for it).
I also recommend using a regular cellular mobility or landline service when testing.
Lastly, if your ATA is working properly while also connected to the hg100re-02, I would test the FPL desktop app with the ATA turned off. Possibly the hg100re-02 can't properly determine what local IP to send the RTP packets. They need to be routed to the LAN IP of your computer running the desktop app. Further, any potential software firewall running on the computer needs to not block traffic from UDP ports 13000 and 13001 (RTP ports). Potential SIP ports include UDP 5060, 5061,6060, and 6061.
