Jake wrote:OK, well I hope you get it fixed. I was just trying to help find what might be the problem.billcanada wrote:I had already signed into my account on freephoneline.ca to double check the fpl settings listed in the settings section. I entered everything listed there in my ATA. I've done this several times but I always get the same result, "Can't connect to log in server." Me being able to successfully log in to another VOIP provider and get a dial tone proves the problem is on freephoneline's end, not mine. Trying a SIP phone makes no sense at this point. I can't believe this is going on two weeks now and my emails to tech support are still being ignored. They obviously know there's a major problem somewhere so instead of admitting it they choose to ignore the issue. I paid them for the configuration files for my ATA and what I have now are phone lines that don't work at all and they obviously could care less. Unbelievable.

FPL is down for me, and my friend(who has 2 lines at 2 different locations). Is there an ETA for when it will be back up?

I was not referring to you, Steve. I appreciate you trying to help. Freephoneline tech support, on the other hand, is a different story.

At least there is a link to give the service status, this means things are improving and not stand still

Maybe you have not been getting replies to your emails because they have been responding via PM. There wouldn't be much point sending you a reply twice as it would just get confusing.

No, Steve is a developer with fpl. He told me himself. I'm the one who contacted Steve first because no one from tech support was getting back to me.

right after I sent a ticket to the support team my third light came on and the SPA2102 was registered and stayed that way for an hour now....billcanada wrote:No, Steve is a developer with fpl. Even it likes that. still can NOT receive call. can make call only.belgiumrom wrote:service is showing green all across now...
I confused with the status. It's for Dell Voice only or it for BOTH DV and FPL.
But When the FPL is down. DV works fine.

Re: Freephoneline Down
Join the club. I have the same problem going on two weeks now. Emails to tech support are being ignored. Maybe fongo thinks we're going to get fed up and sign up with Fongo Home Phone and pay again for the configuration file and then $4.95/month after that. It's not going to happen. I will never sign up for fongo Home Phone after the major screwup that is happening to freephoneline users and how long it has been going on. Funny how fongo Home Phone seems to be working but there continues to be major problems with freephoneline. Hmmm, very interesting...

You guys change the IP address of the voip.freephoneline.ca . I have to update my access list in my OBI202. I bet it's the problem.

Which should be the correct IP? I've tried sip.fongo.com and voip.fongo.com and there is no change. When I pick up the phone there are 4 short tones before the regular dial tone. Any ideas?
(I have a Linksys PAP2)

4 short tones before the regular tones indicates you have a voice mail waiting.crg wrote:When I pick up the phone there are 4 short tones before the regular dial tone. Any ideas?
Dial *98 from your phone to access your voice mail.

Re: Freephoneline Down
I have a Linksys PAP2 as well and my lines went dead two weeks ago now. It seems like fongo made some changes somewhere that made PAP2's no longer compatible with their service. That's what I think because other VoIP providers I tried work fine with my adapter.

Thanks,
The PAP2T should still be compatible. When i called you yesterday to help trouble shoot, we proved your account and the service are working properly when i configured your account into one of my ATA's ans was able to call you with it. we did not determin it was an issue with your ATA, we only proved the issue was somewhere in your set-up or configuration.
