Voicemail waiting tone, even when no messages

My phone is flashing all the time, despite the fact that I have no messages.

I have successfully tested leaving a message and deleting it, but the tone for voicemail is still there.

Using Linksys PAP2T

Have you tried to disable VM notifications in either your phone or ATA and then re-activate it?

Where would the Voicemail notifications field be in the PAP2t?

Okay I found "Message Waiting" setting in the advanced settings under the tab "User 1".

I set it to no. The flashing indicator turned off. Then a little while later I turned it on and the flashing indicator came back.

Check online to see if there are any fax messages waiting in your inbox.

Yep, I followed the advice given in the walkthrough this morning.

It was fine during setup. Then I left myself some answering machine messages, deleted them, and then this flashing light problem popped up.
