Unable to dial out - fast busy (no incoming calls either)
Hi,
I had all my electronics shut down for about a week and when powered back up, the HT-702 is not able to make outbound calls, or receive incoming calls.
Dial tone is there, but after dialing a number, I get fast busy signal.
I've checked all settings again, rebooted the device few times, etc. No luck.
On the HT-702 main page, it shows line 1 is On Hook and Registered. Also on freephoneline.ca account page, it shows device is registered.
Before the shutdown, everything was working fine.
Looking for help please... thanks very much!

I've set port forwarding for UDP 5060-5061 and UDP 13000-13001. But still no outgoing calls.

They did have some server problems around the time you posted last night. If might be worth trying a reboot this morning.

Thanks for the tip Jake.Jake wrote:They did have some server problems around the time you posted last night. If might be worth trying a reboot this morning.

Although this is not a fix as such, change the server you register to from voip.freephoneline.ca to voip2.freephoneline.ca and see if that helps.
If it does help, it is not the solution, there is still something else wrong, but it does show your stuff is still working.

Tried that as well but no luck. Even tried sip.Fongo.com and that doesn't work either.

I would suggest you need to go back to basics then.
Start by downloading a free SIP phone, something like the 3CX or xlite, and put your details in that. Make sure your account works.
If that works, I would do a factory reset on the ATA and try again.
If it still doesn't work you need to either take your ATA to a friends house and try there, or see if something in your router is causing a problem.
I don't know your ATA, but double check which RTP ports you should be forwarding. Those you mentioned are for the softphone, but they may also be for your ATA you will have to check.

I followed instructions in the ht 702 pdf posted in the other forum section. Used to work before our moveJake wrote:I would suggest you need to go back to basics then.

I'll try connecting to another router to check.

After fiddling around some more and doing few more resets on ATA and router... it works!
Thanks very much for your help Jake
