Long distance call problem

Hi to all!

My wife use to call regularly in Japan, and the rate is cheap. The FPL fee is 5$ at the time, the charge is automatic when there's no funds anymore.

I've been charged 5$ on the 16th of September, and again another 5$ charge on the 23rd of September.

And you know what? My account is empty ($ 0.23).

My wife talks regularly, but not for hours. Five or ten minutes. I don't understand what's happening here.

Help please!

Thanks!

Check your online calls logs and see what happened. It should tell you the cost of each call in the end column.

Thank you!

I think I understand the problem.

Her mother talks with my wife on her mobile phone (it's written Mobile as the receiver in the call logs). The rate is more expensive with mobiles?

Because the Japan rate doesn't fit to the amounts charged.

Thanks!

Click https://www.freephoneline.ca/completeList?country=JAPAN.

When visiting https://www.freephoneline.ca/ldServices, always click on "show complete list" to the right of the country.

I know it might be a bit of a fiddle, but an option that might help you is to get your mother in law to install the Fongo World Edition app on her mobile. https://www.fongo.com/world/

It's $5 to buy, but from there all calls would be free to and from that app and your FPL number, and all the other free calling areas in Canada of course.

Just a thought.
