SOLVED Problem with incoming calls URGENT
Hi!
I am experiencing a problem since this morning with my FreePhoneLine and Fongo.
I can't receive any call. It says, please hang up immediately and try your call again.
I rebooted my voip ATA at home. I can make calls but can't receive any.
On my Fongo App too it doesn't work. I can't receive any calls from Bell, but if i use my fongo number to call my FPL number it works.
I think that there is a problem for the incoming calls on Fongo and FPL servers.
Please help me.
Delcio

Re: SOLVED Problem with incoming calls URGENT
A colleague called me and said there was a busy signal. I could call her no problem.
I just called my FPL number from another line and it works now. Could've just been a temporary server glitch.

What does the registration state in your ATA indicate?delcio wrote:Hi!

Login, select "advanced." Navigate to View-->Info
Also, do you see the call in FPL's call logs after logging in?

I'm not having any problems receiving calls
If the issue is only happening with Bell numbers, then it could be a carrier issue.
In that case, submit a ticket: https://support.fongo.com/anonymous_requests/new.
For the issue type, select VoIP Unlock Key–>My Account Inquiry
Provide them with the Bell phone number.

Re: SOLVED Problem with incoming calls URGENT
You can't be reached under these conditions:mh1983 wrote:A colleague called me and said there was a busy signal. I could call her no problem.
1) FPL's voicemail is already engaged with a caller, and another incoming call is routed to FPL's voicemail while it's already in use, or
2) a call is already in place, Follow Me is enabled; and someone else not dialing from an FPL, Fongo Mobile, or Fongo Home Phone number calls you
With Follow Me enabled, when there's already an existing call, the second incoming call will not be forwarded unless it's from another FPL, Fongo Mobile, or Fongo Home Phone number.
Instead, the incoming caller (unless it's from a FPL, Fongo Mobile, or Fongo Home Phone number) will hear the message, "The user you are trying to reach is not available", and that call will not appear in your FPL call log.
With Follow Me enabled, when there's already an existing call, the second incoming call will be forwarded if it's from another FPL, Fongo Mobile, or Fongo Home phone number. However, if this second incoming call is not answered by one of the Follow Me numbers, the call will not be answered by FPL's voicemail. Instead the caller will hear, "The user you are trying to reach is not available."

This is strange, unless you were encountering one of the conditions I mentioned earlier. I'm glad your issue is resolved.delcio wrote:It is now working... weird problem...

Re: Problem with incoming calls URGENT
Well, i checked the call log and the number doesn't appear.
Maybe a problem on Bell side connecting calls to FPL.

It won't appear unless the call is answered. I was just curious.delcio wrote:Well, i checked the call log and the number doesn't appear.
That's possible. It could have been a temporary carrier issue.Maybe a problem on Bell side connecting calls to FPL.
Sometimes it doesn't hurt to contact support to see if it's a carrier issue on their end:
In that case, submit a ticket: https://support.fongo.com/anonymous_requests/new.
For the issue type, select VoIP Unlock Key–>My Account Inquiry
And then provide them with the full phone numbers.
If they don't see anything wrong, then it would be time to contact Bell, in this case, and mention an issue with Fibernetics (owner of Freephoneline and Fongo) numbers.
You can do carrier lookups here for each number: https://www.twilio.com/lookup.
Anyway, that's something to consider if the problem should arise in the future.
