Can’t make or receive calls

Post by Glengarryboy »

I just unplugged my phone line from the back of my bell 2000 modem , plugged it back in 5 minutes later and voip won’t work over my obihai 200 device. Call log with Fongo shows incoming calls coming in But I can’t receive or make calls.
Firmware I retrieved is 3.2.1.5794 .
Bell phone line goes into DSL 1 port on modem , LAN cable goes from Lan port 1 on modem to port on obihai200 and finally home phone is plugged into phone jack on Obihai200.
Any help is greatly appreciated , I have minimal technical ability , unfortunately.

Did it work before?

If so,

1. Read pages 9 and 10 from the PDF guide: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 805#p73839

2. Refer to the PDF guide (pages 47 and 48): http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 805#p73839
(Steps A to D; follow each step, step by step, slowly and carefully)

Step D for you is to reboot Bell Hub. Wait for it to be fully back up and running. Then reboot ATA. And to be honest, depending on what I discovered with your registration status, that would
probably be the first thing I would do (Step D.)

Otherwise, configure your ATA properly using the PDF guide and especially pay attention to pages 42 to 44.

But I can’t receive or make calls.
What happens?

What does the registration status in your ATA indicate for Freephoneline?
Dial ***1. Enter the IP address you hear into a web browser
Navigate to Status-->System Status-->SP(FPL) Service Status-->Status

Regardless, configure your ATA properly using the PDF guide. Saves a lot of headaches.
