*79 means disable Do Not Disturb, and *97 doesn't do anything provided you've configured your ATA properly by following the PDF guide and by not using the default Obitalk Freephoneline profile, which can lead to problems:

1) What brand and model modem are you using?
2) What brand and model router are you using?
3) Ensure you're using proper proxy server names and not IP addresses:

4). Login at
https://www.freephoneline.ca/callLogs and select the current month. Do you see the phone number you're dialing? The outbound call likely isn't even reaching Freephoneline's servers.
5) Dial ***1, and enter the IP address you're told into your web browser.
Navigate to System status-->Call History.
Do you see the full phone number you're trying to dial? Do you see an error message? If so, what's the error message?
6) Navigate to Status-->System Status in the ATA.
Look at SP(FPL) Service status
Status needs to indicate "Registered"
7. Login at
https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings
SIP Status needs to show connected
SIP User Agent needs to indicate your Obihai ATA.
8. In your ATA, navigate to Service Providers–>ITSP Profile (FPL)–>General
Look for dialplan issues.
