It is likely nothing Fibernetics can do about it. The scammer can spoof any phone number. Fibernetics can only police it's own network, it has no control over others.

The fact is, in 10 years of using the freephoneline, this was the first time I had a scammer call

As bridonca mentioned, Freephoneline has nothing to do with you receiving spam calls.

However, it's unlikely 5878874869 is the real phone number. People are able to fake or spoof whatever outgoing phone number they want.
