US Virtual Numbers
Hello,
It's been advertised for about a year that virtual US numbers would be available n 2012.
With less than 60 days left in 2012, I'm wondering where and when we can expect to see this service available?
Thanks!

Hi kjmj,
Can you please give us a link where it claims Fongo is announcing U.S. numbers by the end of 2012 please?

Re: US Virtual Numbers
Any update on this?
Re: US Virtual Numbers
Interesting.. it's only a couple of weeks left until the end of this year. hope this won't end up as a false advertising.
Re: US Virtual Numbers
Yep, I'm just checking in as I do monthly for word on when virtual numbers may be available. I'd love to have one in the LCA for Warkworth, ON (includes Peterborough, ON) for instance.

Re: US Virtual Numbers
I was really hoping they could make it before the end of 2012 because I had been on hold installing the magicjack app on my android mobile phone. I believe I should now go ahead with the install as it allows me to make calls to both US and Canada land/mobile numbers for free (ala Fongo apps, except Fongo is only within Canada).krizz07 wrote:Interesting.. it's only a couple of weeks left until the end of this year. hope this won't end up as a false advertising.
I really can not ask much about the advertised feature specially in December 2012 when we saw the biggest interruption in Fongo's service. I preferred to have the service fixed than have the feature added to a NON-working phone service.
BTW as of this writing, the advertisement page is still there in huge "Coming 2012". So, is it false advertising? http://www.freephoneline.ca/optionalServices#

Re: US Virtual Numbers
Ok, this is really getting bad. We are already well into 2013. Either take the ad down or update it with a new ETA.
I really want to PAY for this service. I already have a virtual US number that I'm PAYING someone else for. I'd rather give Fongo my money since they have provided such a great service.
Steve.... anybody??

That's funny.Bing Kol wrote:Woo hoo! There is hope! They have changed Coming 2012 to Coming 2013.
Re: US Virtual Numbers
It still shows coming in 2013... someone should probably change it to 2014 or even 2015 since we only have a month left in 2014.

Re: US Virtual Numbers
Just get a magic jack for $35 a year, and forward the US number that comes with it to your Fongo number. I do not think you need a magic jack dongle anymore, I think all you need is the magicjack app for your smart phone.
Re: US Virtual Numbers
Im not really interested in a USA number, I just saw on the website that it is really outdated, and thought I would mention it to you... I also thought it was funny how often the site has been updated...
Re: US Virtual Numbers
That 'offer' seems to be a long standing joke around here. I have no idea why they have not removed it. It's been a few years now since they first put it up and I get the feeling that the direction they wanted to go with it has changed; so why not remove that page?
As a note to the website designer, if you decode to delete that offer page sling a

tag around the password on the unlock key page, it will stop me from having to repeat myself.
