Caller ID Issue - please help

Post by mysaurin »

I have Linksys WRTP54G 2FXS, since last 2 weeks I have weird issue when someone calls my caller ID displays "Incoming Call" instead of number or name but I can see their number after hanging up in the phone review. I tried everything but nothing works (*25 or *65)

Any suggestions?

you need to login to your device VOIP configuration and then under the USER or USER1 tab check for the CID settings.

I have the almost the same problem. During the past few days, I have been trying to fix up this probblem, but it seems to come and go.
My problem is when some one call, it display my own name and number. Sometime, the Caller's name but my own number. It is not the ATA specific. I have SPA2102, SPA1001, and OBi100. All doing the same.

Hello,
I had the same issue and resolved it by going to the webpage account "Follow-Me" settings and disabling.

I had a rule set for the last year that would auto forward calls to my FPL # so I could increase the # of rings before voicemail. FPL must of changed something on their side a few weeks ago cause the issue appeared on my setup and a friends.
Disabling "follow-me" fixed it, but now it only rings 5 times before voicemail (max limit).

Hope this helps.

;) I wonder if a looped call forwarding set up causes the mentioned problem.

I did factory settings but still same issue, caller ID display after hanging up the phone. Caller ID is meant to decide to know who's calling but it is not working, not sure why???

Did you remember to save the setting after you disable it? It works for me.
This is now a known issue for FPL http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=7764
