BlackBerry Smartphone and Tablet App

Post by gregsegoe »

Hello,

It is already April. The press release suggested a March release date for the BlackBerry app. Can I get a rough timeline?

Apps on the PlayBook today will be ready for BlackBerry 10 OS when it is released later this year.

Thanks

Hi Greg,
Development and testing is well underway for the Blackberry apps, but at this time we can not comment on any specific times for release. As soon as we hear a firm and official answer from further up the chain then we will be sure to post here as well.

Hello Steve,

Thanks for the reply.

But will the Dell Voice app be available for both BlackBerry Smartphone OS and BlackBerry Tablet OS (BlackBerry 10)?

Could you provide an update to the blackberry app. I have been waiting for this for a long time and I have spread the word of Dell Voice with other non-blackberry users. I am saying how great the app is but I have never used it.

It's May already! Please provide an update! This has been a highly popular thread, and I believe that it is because many people are interested in seeing a Dell Voice app on BlackBerry 10/PlayBook OS/7/6/5.

While I do not have a BB (or any smartphone for that matter), an update on the timeline regarding the development of the BB app would be greatly appreciated.

Other than "coming soon, and in the meantime, enjoy the features by using the desktop app...."

I own a BB Playbook and am in Europe presently.
If I had the Fongo app on my BB, I'd be able to call to my North American phone numbers (and I need to).
Come on people, please, do something about it, there are so many BB products sold worlwide, and so many people need to call through Fongo while away from home ...

You have a Linksys PAP2 so you could user the second line to register to a free voip provider like getonsip.com, then while you are abroad, call that sip account to call home. As an alternative you could make use of the local SipBroker or iNUM phone numbers in the country that you are in to call this second account. Not as good as using DellVoice on your Blackberry but it could fill in until the DellVoice works on it.

Hi dibsmft.

I've thought about it, but the laptop is so heavy and big (Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM CPU @ 2.00GHz × 8, & the works ...).
The BB Playbook is almost always in my wife's purse :-).
I'll check out the SipBroker or iNUM phone numbers.

Thanks a lot.
