I'm glad to hear it's working. Out of curiosity, when did you purchase your unlock key?

It's too bad all unlock keys don't come with "registration forced" automatically. It would save a lot of tickets and mildly annoyed customers.

Please be sure your ATA is configured as per the PDF in this thread, as well as my post below the PDF: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16340

Re: SPA2102 (Firmware 5.2.13.004)
hi
I have my freephone online setup with SPA 2102. I just recently got the new Hitron Rogers CGN3 Modem. i changed my SIP PROXY to voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 ....because the other proxies i didn't hear any ring tone / bell..
Everything seems to work fine..I can get incoming calls and i get outgoing calls....however when i make outgoing calls i do not hear the rings.. the party I'm calling receives the call... i just don't hear the ring tones when making a call.
Can you please help me out.
Thanks

Try to forward UDP ports 16384-16482 to your ATA's static IP address.
If that does not work, open a ticket and ask for your account to be verified.

Looks like this account in question was blocked in the system for TOS violation.
I hope they will adjust their ATA settings very soon and get their account restored.

Re: can't hear other side voice when make call or receive ca
Hi All,
I'm a new user with EXACTLY the same problem.
My ATA is an HT701 configured according to the PDF found here: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16292
SIP registration seems to work OK and I can make outgoing calls and receive incoming calls, but there's no incoming sound - no ring-back and no incoming voice.
Edit: Forgot to add, I've configured my router to forward ports 5060-5065 and 10000-30000 to my ATA, and even tried putting the ATA on the DMZ, but no relief.
I did open a support ticket after reading this thread, but (as others said), just got a "blow off" message telling me I'm not eligible for any support.
So, what's with this "forced registration"?! Why exactly is my account in this state? How do I recover if I don't get tech support from fongo?
Many thanks for any help/advice you can offer!
David

Re: can't hear other side voice when make call or receive ca
Many/most new users report this problem. You'll just have to open another ticket and hope that this time you will receive assistance.
Please remove your port forwarding and disable your DMZ. That will not affect your symptoms, because FPL is not sending any RTP at all to you.

Re: can't hear other side voice when make call or receive ca
@Mango & Fongo Support: I'm pleased to report that my VoIP seems to be working perfectly now. Many thanks to you both!!
However, I would still like to know the answers to my questions ... what is "forced registration" and why did many of us have to suffer through it?
I'm sure I'm NOT alone in wondering ... thanks for any info.
David

Good luck getting an answer to your question. According to reports in the forums, this problem has been happening for over two years now.

Hmm - even more reason then, why it should be answered once and for all!!Mango wrote:Good luck getting an answer to your question. According to reports in the forums, this problem has been happening for over two years now.

Hello,
How do you install these firmware on HT701?
Is this ATA compatible with Freephoneline?
Thanks a lot,
Konrad

Re: HT701 firmware 1.0.6.1
It is compatible. But OBi ATAs have more powerful call routing features.
