Three way call

Postby Grundewalt » 05/23/2018

Hi
I made a quick search but only references to Free conference call came up.
with FPL or Fongo I read that it might possible to put the first call in waiting then call the second number etc..
Is it true ?

Yes, it's true. Typically, wireless, touch-tone phones have a "flash" button that puts the first caller on hold. You then dial the second number. Once the call connects, press "flash" again to merge the calls (3-way call).
"Flash" is also the same thing as quickly pressing the receiver (hook) down on older phones.

Freephoneline supports up to two simultaneous channels at any given time (1 outgoing and 1 incoming; 2 incoming; or 2 outgoing channels).

Unfortunately, I don't see a way of doing it using the desktop app, which I rarely use. I see no way of initiating another call session. I would venture on the side of believing it's not possible, but perhaps I'm missing something and someone will correct me.

If I'm right, then the alternative for desktop app users is this: https://www.freephoneline.ca/features/c ... e-calling/.

I tried that but for some particular reason, when I try to call the local conference number and then dial in the PIN which is my FPL number+# there is this message that it is an invalid PIN
I tried with a Fongo number and it works..

Maybe it is not working with FPL...

so I was thinking maybe there is a easier way to be with two ppl in a call, with FPL and desktop app.

You say FPL is supporting 2 outgoing channels. How can this be accomplished using only the dialpad of the softphone ? That should have been the question I see now,

It works fine for me, and they even mention downloading the app at https://www.freephoneline.ca/features/c ... e-calling/. So accounts for desktop app users must work.
If your FPL phone number (without the 1 in front) doesn't work, then submit a ticket: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
Select "Freephoneline Desktop Application"--->"My Account Inquiry" for the issue type.

As far as I can tell, you can't when using the desktop app:
