I was charged for local Calgary call
I was charged for local Calgary call
I have been using freephoneline with an Obihai since 2013. In July I called Calgary utility Enmax's local # 4033102010. Checked my call log today, and noticed freephoneline had charged me for that call, and deducted my worldwide balance.
Not able to raise a support ticket as this issue doesn't fall into the list of supplied issue type.
Any idea how to raise call charge issue to freephoneline?

Visit https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
Select VoIP Unlock Key-->World Credits Inquiry for the issue type.
If no responds to your support ticket, provide the ticket number in a private message to Fongo Support after logging into the forums: http://forum.fongo.com/ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&u=7852.
Also post at http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5418. That thread is monitored.

Re: I was charged for local Calgary call
Thank you!
Have submitted a ticket following the infor you provided. The $0.54 charged for the 25 min call isn't a big deal. Just want to make sure some technical problems don't continue causing local calls within a "free call" city to incur long distant charges going forward.

What was the number you dialed? My guess is that you called a 310 number.

Re: I was charged for local Calgary call
Got the same problem a few years ago after dialing local Bell Canada number (310-BELL, 514-310-BELL) and was charged for a long distance call to Terrence (California).
If the called company has a toll free number (1-800...), use it as an alternative.

Thanks to all who replied.
Just to close off this topic - Yes, the number xxx-310-xxxx was the problem.
So, don't order pizza on your fp phone

Re: I was charged for local Calgary call
Sorry, I didn't recognize the 310 prefix until it was mentioned.

Re: I was charged for local Calgary call
FYI, I just want to mention that the problem occurs also with other carriers. I was charged for a call to Terrence (California) when I dialed 310-BELL from my Fido cell.
