Hi,
I just set up FPL on linphone with voip unlocked key on my computer and smartphone.Is working great, except that I am receving multiple calls from 1001 and 1003 on the computer. Weird calls because nobody is on the other side of the line, no music nothing. Yesterday I had like 20 calls only on the afternoon. I thought it could be because I opened the linphone on the computer and the smartphone at the same time, but this morning I opened both to check and is not happening.
Can be something of the configuration? Any idea the reason of this calls?

You are getting port scanned by hackers. Easy solution is to switch ports. use something like voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 because most port scanners do not look at port 6060

Wow, that is scary. I had two SIP accounts on linphone, FPL and other voip operator. Once I removed the other voip operator from linphone, I stopped receiving those calls, so I thought that was the problem. Is there much difference in security using ports? How come hackers do not look at port 6060? Thanks

UDP 5060 and 5061 are relatively well-known SIP ports that are commonly scanned. 6060 isn't as common, and, in turn, isn't scanned as often. However, the answer to your question is "not really." All ports have the capacity to be scanned. The best protection is using a good firewall (don't port forward, don't use UPnP, and definitely don't use DMZ).aswolf wrote:s there much difference in security using ports?
