Can't make calls

Post by shanlin52 »

Hi, I was trying to find how to access to my voicemail locally, so I tried *97 and *79. I don't know what I did, but when I press the button talk on my phone to compose a number, I hear disconnection and no dial tone.

I can access to my voicemail with *98. The phone was working fine before.

Thank you

*79 means disable Do Not Disturb, and *97 doesn't do anything provided you've configured your ATA properly by following the PDF guide and by not using the default Obitalk Freephoneline profile, which can lead to problems: https://www.obitalk.com/info/documents/ ... rCodes.pdf. Dialing *79 has nothing to do with your problem, unless you've changed default star codes or have a messed up digitmap.

Use this guide fully to configure your ATA properly: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 805#p73839. Double check your dial plan for errors.

1) What brand and model modem are you using?

2) What brand and model router are you using?

3) Ensure you're using proper proxy server names and not IP addresses: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 702#p76878.

4). Login at https://www.freephoneline.ca/callLogs and select the current month. Do you see the phone number you're dialing? The outbound call likely isn't even reaching Freephoneline's servers.

5) Dial ***1, and enter the IP address you're told into your web browser.
Navigate to System status-->Call History.

Do you see the full phone number you're trying to dial? Do you see an error message? If so, what's the error message?

6) Navigate to Status-->System Status in the ATA.
Look at SP(FPL) Service status
Status needs to indicate "Registered"

7. Login at https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings
SIP Status needs to show connected
SIP User Agent needs to indicate your Obihai ATA.

8. In your ATA, navigate to Service Providers–>ITSP Profile (FPL)–>General
Look for dialplan issues.
Double check your Digitmap for errors. Refer to pages 18 and 19 of the PDF guide: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... 805#p73839.
