Has this happened before? Did it start in the last week? Does it sound like your downloading something? CHOPPY/STUTTERING/GLITCHY/DIGITALIZED abit odd sometimes I get this too but i'm not downloading anything (10down/1up) just FPLing. I use to get that msg on my cell when trying to call home (Ottawa)
travelling from Montreal to Ottawa (417), usually the 30 - 40KM marker in Ontario stopped that msg or 20 - 30 click mark travelling up the 416
So in all a 60 - 70 Km radius inside, around Ottawa wasn't long-distance.

have you tried doing it wired? might be a router thing.. OOooo connect your internet to your laptop and forget about the router for the mean time. See if that does it...

i just did this and got the same results as you. Your outbound firewall rule for FPL is not allowing freephoneline software to go through properly. to fix this you'll have to allow/add FPL in your firewall, to allow it to access your internet.
