Re: MWI stuck ON, but it's not FPL's fault!

I disagree...

My PAP2's web administration status page shows:
"Message Waiting: Yes"

So the MWI status is being sent incorrectly to the VoIP ATA.

Re: How to reset the voice mail indicator?

I have experienced the same issue for the past few months too. The message waiting indicator remains on even though I have deleted all the voicemail messages (confirmed in the online portal).

Re: Oct 6, 2010 Upgrade-Related Bugs

My caller ID also shows either 604-628-2598 or Anonymous for local calls. MCI (1-800-444-3333) says my number is "416".

Intermittent One-Way Audio for Outbound Calls

I noticed that for a small percentage of the outbound calls I make, the receiver cannot hear me, but I can hear them. This always coincides with the receiver's Caller ID seeing my Freephoneline number but not my name (the name is populated by the number). When the receiver sees my name on Caller ID,...

Re: Additional Phone Numbers - Coming Soon!

I have a Freephoneline (604-555-1111) number that is fowarded to my Acanac (604-555-2222) number. I want to port 604-555-2222 to Freephoneline and keep both numbers. From what I have read, I should register a new account for the number to be ported. Can I pay for the Freephoneline configuration file...

Voicemail problem

I only started noticing this problem today: A caller to my Freephoneline number can successfully record a voicemail message. However, no message is shown in the "mailbox" tab and no email is sent. The calls show up in "call logs". My "Enable voicemail to email" setting ...

Re: Re: Outgoing Caller ID CNAM FAQ

I must respectfully disagree. If you notice when making SIP to SIP calls, your CID as well as your CNAM appear undisturbed (proving we are sending it out just fine), but once the call dips down From IP to PSTN your CNAM is lost 40% of the time. This is not because of improper negotiation or trunkin...

Re: Outgoing Caller ID CNAM FAQ

Looks like the original thread is locked... I just want to mention that, in Canada, CNAM is sent by the terminating carrier, in contrast to the United States, where CNAM is looked up by the originating carrier. It appears Freephoneline is not properly transmitting the CNAM information to Canadian nu...

Re: Fax Question

I'll have to get the full story for you tomorrow, but I can tell you that upon detecting a fax tone the server tries it's primary negotiation of T.38 but if unsuccessful, where be it that the device on the receiving end does not support T.38, defaults to negotiating using uLaw. Thank you for your h...

Re: Fax Question

Yes, I mean no official technical support from the Freephoneline staff. The forums however are filled with incredibly knowledgeable and helpful people who would be willing to help I'm sure. A capable SIP adapter can successfully negotiate the T.38 codec rxd as well as txd. Thank you Kris for the in...

Re: Fax Question

Though the system itself is capable of it, we do not provide support for the T.38 codec. I've been using the fax to email service and it's been working flawlessly - What you must do though is make sure voicemail to email is set to Forward only, and not Copy. When you say no support, do you mean no ...

Re: Fax Question

Does Freephoneline.ca support the T.38 fax codec?

How reliable is the fax-to-email feature?

Thank you!
