I just got an email from Fongo .... We are urging you to switch to Fongo Home Phone service since we will no longer be supporting Free Phone Line. Your service with Free Phone Line will not be interrupted, however if you require technical support, we will not be offering it, essentially leaving you ...

Re: Linksys PAP2T-NA
cannon_fodder, the issue is the firmware of your router. It's an old router, but a great router. The best thing you can do for your router is to ditch the stock firmware that Linksys made, and switch over to a very good 3rd party firmware called DD-WRT. It will give you many more options, but more s...

Re: Missing First Few Seconds
If your still having problems with your router, i recommend you to check out DD-WRT firmware (look for your model and version in the lists) + (we won't be responsible if anything goes wrong) ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2011/12-20-11-r18024/ Why would you give the link to a 20...

Re: Phone Log
Agree, and also it would be nice if they instituted the failed calls again. I remember seeing them when I first started using FPL, but now they are gone. Also, 911 calls are not showing up on the call logs... I had to call 911 the other day for police, and checked the logs for the time of the call t...

Re: A good router
Why wouldn't you just get a proper wireless router like the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND, flash it with DD-WRT, use it as your wireless router and use the 2Wire as a modem only in bridge mode? 2wire = crap

Mine too is having problems re-registering. Mine is set for 200 seconds. Nothing changed on my end - this started today. It's not all the time either - sometimes it registers, then it fails. It just now re-registered successfully from the failed state.

Re: Phone connected to SPA3102 dead
Alternatively, if the SPA3102 you originally bought did NOT have an up-to-date firmware, that could have been your issue. Always, always check for firmware updates WHEN YOU BUY the device, before you set it up for the first time. My SPA3102 always has those compression artifacts in the logo.... and ...

Alternative, contact me for info on setting up an alternative way that will save you tons of money through VoipDiscount, who's listed price for phone calls to Italy are Free for landlines, and 23 cents a minute for Mobile calling (yes, expensive, but if you're calling landlines it's free) Italy (Lan...

Re: New config file for porting number?
You may choose to port your cell number over to REPLACE the FPL # you currently have for $25 + tax. If you wish to keep both your current FPL Number AND port your Cell number over, you'll need to pay for another config file ($50) getting another FPL number, and then port your cell # to that new FPL ...

Re: How can I disable auto-renewal for LD credti?
TheHardy, It's quite simple. They will loose out on more money with future purchases from their clients. I bought $20 of credits with FPL to help support FPL and the awsome service they have, and I can find better and cheaper long distance with VoipDiscount with their 10 Euro (~$18 CAD) top up for ...

Thanks for your response bridonca, your suggestion does make a lot of sense and will do it tomorrow when the rest of my clan is off the router. Re: Voice of Incoming Call Echos When Maximum Bandwith is Us
How can I adjust the connection in my Linksys PAP2T to give first priority to VOIP and secondary priority to everything else? Thanks. This would be done at the router/gateway device. Most routers have an area in their configuration for QoS somewhere in the advanced menus. It's not an easy task to s...

Re: Voice of Incoming Call Echos When Maximum Bandwith is Us
It is more than likely that primus already has Quality of Service (QoS) already setup on their ATA/Modem/Router giving VOIP traffic full priority over everything else. That is the only other way you can adjust your connection, by prioritizing packets of VOIP over everything else.

Thanks for the commands. When you don't work in linux natively you end up forgetting all of these commands after a while.
I found out that it was my wiresless phones that were causing the problem.
