Works for me..I did not add the outbound setting though.
I think the biggest issue is with NAT so depending where you're connecting you may want to try the STUN server settings. Also, I assume you paid the $50 for the correct username and password to use for the sip settings

I am unable to connect to voip.freephoneline.ca and I am unable to ping it either. I confirmed with an external server as well.

This is wierd but I wanted to see if some can confirm my suspicion. Setup: Asterisk 1.4 Three Voip Accounts. One account with freephoneline.ca and two with another provider.
