I found I am having the same issue (outgoing calls to landlines/mobiles) dropping after ~15 minutes, but I am not blockimg any CID. Is there anything else that may have changed for you in addition to the CID blocking?
Thanks!

Re: Incoming FPL calls at SipSorcery NOT working
I had a similar problem recently, and I fixed it by using the hostname (one of the voip.freephoneline.ca ones) as the SIP server in SIPSorcery instead of the IP address. There were some flaky DNS issues that caused problems with that at the beginning, but then it worked.

Re: Incoming calls not going through
Problem solved! After testing with a SIP softphone (Linphone, on Android), I saw that incoming calls were coming in. I went back to SIP Sorcery and I realized that I was connecting to FPL using the IP of the proxy (not the domain), which worked well for outgoing calls (SIP Sorcery was having some fl...

Re: Incoming calls not going through
From what I see from SIP Sorcery logs I'm less interested in SIP Sorcery logs at this point than I am in what the SIP status and SIP User Agent state after logging in at https://www.freephoneline.ca/showSipSettings. SIP Status needs to indicate "connected" (otherwise incoming calls won't ...

Re: Incoming calls not going through
If you do see that SIP status is connected at the above link and that the user agent is SIP Sorcery or something you recognize, then it stands to reason that the problem is between SIP Sorcery and your ATA. From what I see from SIP Sorcery logs, the call does not even reach them (it never gets forw...

Re: Incoming calls not going through
Power down the router and ATA, leave it off for a minute, power up, and see what happens. I have de-registered and I will leave it de-registered for a while. Then I will re-register and see what happens. Meanwhile I'll power down things (just in case, with computers you never know), and re-register...

Re: Incoming calls not going through
Unless I go and power down the SIP Sorcery systems I don't see how that will help.

Incoming calls not going through
Hello, After a power outage we had yesterday our incoming calls go straight to voice mail. I am registered through SIP Sorcery, and the SIP Settings screen shows that SIP Sorcery is connected. The SIP Sorcery call log does not show any inbound call. The strangest thing is that I see the following in...

Ok, now it is working again, with no clear reason why. I've fixed my ATA settings (thanks for all the PM's and the call!), and I hope it'll keep on working...

Re: Problem with incoming calls
By the way, I should add that I tried other of my SIP providers and I can receive calls to that number, so it should not be an obvious issue on my side with blocked ports.

Re: Problem with incoming calls
So if I understand this correctly, ATA is setup with sip.sorcery.com information. When someone calls, it will hit sip.sorcery.com and they will redirect to your ATA. Let me know if that's the case. This is a really weird configuration. Thanks, Yes, it works exactly like that. That setup allows me t...

Problem with incoming calls
Hello, As many others, I am experiencing the same issue with no incoming calls. Outgoing calls have no problems, but incoming calls go directly to voicemail. When this happened before, I switched to the voip2.freephoneline.ca proxy and it worked. Now both proxies (voip and voip2) exhibit the same be...

Re: Fongo Name Transition
So how will the new Dell Voice service affect use FPL users? I'm quite worried that we have limited opportunities if we were to change from FPL to Dell Voice.... I second sncbhle's question: Will the new Dell Voice service affect my SIP FPL number now or in the future? I don't see a reason to run t...

Same thing here (Montreal). Incoming calls now work, but outgoing ones are giving me the "Insufficient funds" message.

Re: [Oct 25 2010] Issues with incoming calls
Count me in the crowd suffering this issue. I have just talked with the FPL tech support, and I've been told they are working on the issue.
It'll be a crappy Monday for the people at FPL, indeed!

Re: SIP URI call status
Thanks for the info!
Just to make myself more clear (in case somebody is doing some market research on whether to offer this feature), I'd rather use FPL directly to receive SIP calls, even if I had to pay a little more than what I would need to pay Voxalot for that.

SIP URI call status
Hi! Is there an official policy against calling a FPL number using its SIP URI (1514xxxxxxx@voip.freephoneline.ca)? When I try it, I get a "This account is not valid" pre-recorded message. I've seen some discussion about it, but I haven't understood clearly if it is a feature that will eve...

Re: Invalid password
I realized that this is probably the same issue with the SIP in the Nokia N900. Both the N900 and Empathy use the Telepathy framework for their videoconferencing, and this is the same issue they are having. My gut feeling is that this is a subtle bug in either telepathy-sofiasip (the SIP component) ...

Re: Invalid password
Hi Kris! That's weird, because I made a packet capture and it seems that Empathy is sending the Auth header with the INVITE. In fact, both Twinkle and Empathy send and INVITE first without Auth information with is rejected with "401 Unauthorized" and then send one with Auth information. Wi...

Changing the SIP client to Twinkle (another SIP phone working in Linux) made it work!
I wonder if it is a problem with sofiaSIP in Empathy or if I messed up the settings...

Hello, I got my SIP config file enabled and since I have to wait for my ATA to arrive (there was an order mixup) I decided to try with a softphone. I am using Empathy (together with Sofia-SIP) under Linux, and it seems I can receive calls, but when I try to dial out I get a voice telling me "Th...

Re: Ports on ATA
You can of course change the ports your ATA uses to connect, but keep in mind forwarding ports does not dedicate them to a device but only keeps traffic to and from the device undisturbed. Great! I will probably try to order my ATA soon... I had the impression that port forwarding as done in the ro...
