I'm just outside Ottawa and my service is also down even though my Linksys PAP2T and SIP status on Freephoneline.ca both say connected.
This is kind of getting ridiculous with that big outage in March. Hopefully they get this resolved in a more timely fashion.

Re: Service Interruption - March 18, 2012
I totally disagree with people defending the service based on the fact that it's free. Hotmail is free. Most of Google's services are free. There's a lot of free services out there but there's also an expectation of service. You can't just say, "what do you expect, it's free." That's not a...

Re: Can't connect to login server
By the fact that the FPL and Fongo websites themselves are down also, I would go with a SERVER failure -- that would account for all the problems. Technically, they aren't completely down since I was able to connect sporadically to the freephoneline.ca web site. I'm sure the rush of people trying t...

Re: Harrasing phone calls from Freephoneline.ca!
Kris, I appreciate your reply but signing up doesn't provide the service provider carte blanche; to call every single day and refuse to leave contact information. That's harassment and there are guidelines and limits to this sort of activity.

Harrasing phone calls from Freephoneline.ca!
I'm just wondering when freephoneline.ca decided to harass their new clients? When I originally signed on over a year ago, no problems. However, just a few weeks ago, I signed up my parents and also purchased a config file for them. I'm moving towards porting them from Bell. Someone from freephoneli...

Re: Echo problem on receiver's side of conversation
I'm on the Rogers Cable network and going from the computer directly into the cable modem (a Motorola SB5101) is as basic as you're going to get. The one thing I did notice is that my bandwidth performance is a down to 5 MB DL and 0.5 MB UL. Could these be a factor? I should also mention that when I...

Re: Echo problem on receiver's side of conversation
Hi Kris,
Thanks or the reply but, no, I completely unplugged the mic and speakers. Nothing was connected to the computer and there was still echoing.
My intent is to purchase a phone adapter but i certainly don't want to risk it if this isn't going to work.

Echo problem on receiver's side of conversation
Hi Everyone, I'm hoping someone can help. I seem to be experiencing a lot of echo at almost a 2 sec delay using FreePhoneLine v3.0.0.0 Beta. I also tried the previous version...same thing. The strange thing is that it's echoing on the receiver's side and not mine. I don't hear the echo at all but th...
