Re: Sim Card Activation

Nope. Late last night, I finally received an email from Fongo Wireless indicating that they are having an issue with the data-only SIM card activation. Therefore, they can't resolve the issue that I am having at the moment. They also indicated that they are working on resolving the issue during the...

I think if i ever changed I would be looking at Freedom Mobile since they off...

Re: Sim Card Activation

Should a data SIM card have a phone number programmed in it? The new Fongo Wireless SIM card that I just received (which is not working) indicated that the phone number is unknown when I check the SIM info. No its only a data card. There is no phone number associated to it at least mine doesn't fro...

I am having the same/similar issue. But, the APN setting does not seem to resolve the issue. Any suggestions? I have opened a ticket on the Fongo Wireless help desk.

Thanks.

Re: Double Entries in Call Logs

Hi, I did enable the "follow me" option to simultaneous without any "follow me" phone number set (at the moment). I will either disable it or set it to sequential for testing. Does it matter if the follow me is set to "always call forward" or "call forward when una...

Double Entries in Call Logs

Hi,

Is it just me?

I have been getting (seemed like) random double entries call logs.

Who should I contact at FPL to look into the call logs issue?

Thanks.

Just want to let everyone know that the call waiting display problem resolved.

I did not think I change any setting. But, I am happy that now the call waiting phone number is displayed.

Hi Jake,

Yes, the old phone works perfectly.

:( I guess the new phone does not support CWCID.

Re: Call Waiting --> Call Display

Hi Mango,

It is confirmed that all CID settings are "Yes" (see pictures).

So, the problem may not be related to the SPA122 settings.

Any other suggestions?

Call Waiting --> Call Display

Hi, I need help with call display for a secondary call (i.e. call waiting) for FPL connected via Cisco ATA SPA122. The previous Panasonic phone used to display the call waiting caller ID (as well as hearing the beeping sound) while we are on the first call. After replacing the old phone with a new P...

Can one reload twice (of $5 each) to get $10 in the "bank"?

Alternatively, one can select the auto-reload option.

Re: voice cuts

Do you know which FPL server you are connected to?

I noticed the voice cutting off on FPL1 server starting about last week. I switched to FPL2 and it resolves the issue.

@FPL staff, Is (or was) there an issue with the FPL1 server?

Re: People I have called, now get strange phone calls

Of late, there are many reports about phone spoofing ( https://www.fcc.gov/guides/caller-id-and-spoofing ). I even received (that I did not answer) a call from my "own" phone number (this should not be possible - but I was wrong). I would suggest not answering any calls from caller ID that...

Yes, you will need to change your userid to your phone number (from the temporary FPL number).

Re: Typical questions a new guy might ask.

I have a question about port-in process. I currently have a Bell landline with 3rd party DSL (teksavvy). I would like to port Bell's number into freephoneline. I understand there is a $25 fee and can be requested online. This would effectively cancels my Bell landline; the implication is that I hav...

Re: $ 35 fee for 911?

Thank you for the clarification.

As a result, the 911 service functions as normal. Except, there is a $35 charge if we used it.

I believed FPL implemented this policy to reduce the numbers of "test" calls. :)

Thanks Mango. The Reg. Retry Intvl was set at 30. I have changed it to 300 for now to test. I also set the system to force resync at 03:00 (default was blank). Or should I leave this "blank" for now? I hope these changes will resolve the not registration issue. Hi, I beleive FPL guideline...
