Re: [Resolved] Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voice
I'm willing to migrate off of the OBi202 and replace my old analog Venture phone with a SIP phone, such as the OBi2182. Is there something smaller than OBi2182, or is OBi2182 the ideal device to migrate to? Is there an end of life in sight for Poly SIP phones such as the OBi2182? Are you familiar wi...

Re: [Resolved] Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voice
I disabled X_AcceptSipFromRegistrarOnly If you see "Registered" at Status-->System Status-->SP (for FPL) Service Status, then yes. I see: SP2 Service Status —> Status —> Registered (server=162.213.111.21:6060; expire in 3428s) SP3 Service Status —> Status —> Registered (server=162.213.111....

Re: [Resolved] Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voice
No, the guide does not say to use X_AcceptSipFromRegistrarOnly. The guide says you're going to have problems unless you're registered on voip.freephoneline.ca, which you aren’t. The guide says: Normally, to also help stop SIP Scanners I recommend enabling X_AcceptSipFromRegistrarOnly, but unless yo...

Re: [Resolved] Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voice
Yes, for FPL, uncheck X_AcceptSipFromRegistrarOnly. It's just one less problem I may end up having to troubleshoot. You may find other Fibernetics (Fongo Mobile, FPL, and Fongo Home Phone) users are unable to call you if you're not registered on voip.freephoneline.ca I determined that both my SP2 a...

Re: [Resolved] Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voice
More importantly, how is 30 not less than 115? Sorry. It was a typo. According to the guide, RegisterRetryInterval needs to be > UDP Assured Timeout. Since UDP Assured Timeout = 115, I changed RegisterRetryInterval to 120. Should I still leave RegisterRetryInterval as 30? In regards to X_AcceptSipF...

Re: [Resolved] Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voice
If I use only Obitalk for both my father and me, am I correct to assume that I should still follow the instructions on pages 6, 7 and bottom of 5 on Obitalk but skip the instructions on page 9 because these instructions disable Obitalk? No. You should follow the entire guide, even if you do use Obi...

Re: Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voicemail
I recommend going through the entire guide That guide has 51 pages. It would take me an entire week or more to do so. That would be on top of the many hours I’ve already spent years ago to figure out and set up FPL and ATAs and the many hours I’ve spent over the years to debug problems. If I have t...

Re: Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voicemail
I do not know what those settings on page 6 and 7 from Obi2xxguide173.pdf do. Should I change them when everything seems to be working fine? For F., it says to replace: DigitMap: (1xxxxxxxxxx|011XX.S3|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|*98|[2-9]11) with: (1xxxxxxxxxx|011XX.S3|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-7]11|<811:8667970000>|*98...

Re: Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voicemail
Thank you for your extensive reply and input. I set up Freephoneline many years ago. It’s been working fine for most of the time, so I did not following the PDF guide (Obi2xxguide173.pdf). 1) and 2) I’m not sure what you mean by “service is provisioned”. I have a phone number on my second line and a...

[Resolved] Dialing my number goes to Greeting, not Voicemail
I have three SP lines. First one is for Google Voice. For the 2nd and 3rd lines, when I dial my own number, it normally goes to voicemail. This is no longer happening on my 3rd line. It goes to my greeting, not voicemail. When I dialled *98, I get a flat tone. https://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: No Bell Hub + Asus VLAN/IPTV + NAT Acceleration on = pro
FYI, I installed Asuswrt-Merlin version 386.1_2. There is no more "Page Unresponsive" message and the router page responds without waiting. I did not have to do a factory reset after the installation. (Wouldn't a factory reset replace Merlin's firmware with the factory firmware?) Thanks fo...

Re: No Bell Hub + Asus VLAN/IPTV + NAT Acceleration on = pro
I didn’t create any Wi-Fi MAC filter lists. Whenever I try to access the router by going to 192.168.1.1, I get this error multiple times: Page Unresponsive You can wait for it to become responsive or exit the page ASUS Wireless Router RT-AC68U WHITE - Network Map Then after about 15 minutes, the pag...

Re: No Bell Hub + Asus VLAN/IPTV + NAT Acceleration on = pro
I installed Asuswrt-Merlin, but now there is a flashing yellow icon of an exclamation mark, near the top right of the 192.168.1.1 page. When I click on it, it says: Your router is running low on free JFFS storage, which might affect its stability. Review the content of the /jffs directory on your ro...

Re: No Bell Hub + Asus VLAN/IPTV + NAT Acceleration on = pro
Okay, I might try it. As you know, my outgoing audio does not currently work with NAT Acceleration on Auto, so I disabled it. Asuswrt-Merlin retains full support for NAT acceleration Does this mean that I can enable NAT Acceleration with Asuswrt-Merlin and my outgoing audio will still work? My Asus ...

Re: No Bell Hub + Asus VLAN/IPTV + NAT Acceleration on = pro
Thanks, but the Asus-Merlin requires more technical knowledge than I’m capable of or have the time for. It seems very complicated and I’m not sure how the problems from Unreplied and Assured UDP timeouts affect the user. Right now, the internet and the phone work, so I’m okay with it. If there is a ...

Re: No outgoing audio. Other party cannot hear me.
Sorry I didn’t provide my router info beforehand. I didn’t think about it, probably because I didn’t think it was relevant. Would the Asus-Merlin allow me to enable NAT Acceleration and fix my FreePhoneLine audio problem? Use the Bell Hub and perform PPPoE in your Asus router. Don't use Asus IPTV/VL...

Re: No outgoing audio. Other party cannot hear me.
Thanks for the suggestion. For background info, I replaced the Bell Home Hub 3000 with the TP-Link MC220L and Asus RT-AC68U router, as per https://youtu.be/LXAF-fQJHqE . To do steps 2-3 (disable SIP ALG) from your document, I followed the instructions from https://www.ukvoipforums.com/viewtopic.php?...

No Bell Hub + Asus VLAN/IPTV + NAT Acceleration on = problem
Everything was working fine until yesterday. Then when I phone somebody or receive a call, I can hear the other party, but the other party party cannot hear me. This seems to be case with the keypad as well. When I press the number pad, I can hear the tone but the other side cannot. As an example, I...

Re: Number rejected by the service provider. Reason 487
That worked. Thanks!
It was set to 5. I changed it to 3 and it worked. I changed it back to 5 and it worked.
My issue was not voicemail notifications, but the lack of voicemail picking up the call. Is Fongo having issue with this as well?

[Solved] Number rejected by the service provider. Reason 487
My Freephoneline has been working fine for several years. I found out today that if someone phones my number, there is no voicemail. Instead, after several rings, it plays the following: The number you dialled XXX-XXX-XXXX was rejected by the service provider. Reason is 487. I dialled my own number ...
