Re: Unable to receive phone calls from Rogers

Thanks for the suggestions I'll definitely give some a try. It's a standalone modem, can't remember the make model and I believe a linksys router. I'll have to take a look when I go see them on the weekend. Why all of the sudden though is my question? It was working pretty good for about 4-5 years n...

Unable to receive phone calls from Rogers

Hello everyone. I want to apologize in advance for my lack of knowledge with my setup, or I should say my in-laws setup. In a nut shell my brother was more versed with VOIP helped setup my in-laws with FFL and they have been using it for I would say a good 5-6 years with very little complaints. Rece...

Re: Didn't receive notification on world credit balance

This has happened again. My world credits expired back in March and I didn't receive any notification. My world credits expired again today and I didn't receive any notification. The last notification I received regarding a low credit balance dates back to March of 2016. Is anyone else having this p...

Didn't receive notification on world credit balance

Previously when my world credit balance went below certain amount I would get notified, but last week I tried making a call over seas only to find out I have used all my credits. How this be fixed so that I will get notified again moving forward? PS - before anyone asks yes I've checked my spam and ...

World Credit Purchase History?

Hi there.

As the subject indicates, is there a way for me to get a record of all my world credit purchases. I'd like to see how much money I've invested in the past 2 years since I signed up with FPL.

Haha that's what I thought. Okay so I'll set the Block CID to No and see what happens. Thanks.

Finally got a chance to check the ATA today. There are two tabs, User 1, and User 2. User 1 the Block CID is set to Yes. User 2 the Block CID is set to No.

Home number now shows up as "Private Caller"

Hi everyone. I've been using FFL for just over one year now and everything has been great for the most part. When my wife would call me from home it would always display the phone number, but over the past week the number now always comes up as PRIVATE CALLER. I haven't made any changes to my router...

Re: Looping echo problem when making calls over seas

The caller on the other end needs to change or adjust his handset. What is happening is that the other caller's handset microphone is able to pick up the conversation from the earpiece, thus causing the feedback. the other caller lowering his volume, or using headphones can minimize the problem. I ...

Looping echo problem when making calls over seas

Hi everyone. Recently when my in-laws make an overseas call, when the other person answers phone all we can here is a looping echo of "hello". This never stops and we are forced to end the call. I'm only hearing this third hand, so I'm not sure if the looping voice they hear is coming from...

Bought World Credit yesterday but it hasn't appeared

Hi everyone, I purchased $20 just yesterday morning but it hasn't showed up in my account yet. Now I'm 99% sure I completed the transaction because I distinctively remember the page telling me that I would be charged $22.60 after HST charges. Should I be receiving an email confirmation about my purc...

Re: Possible SIP scanner trying to hack my phone system?

I'll try the UPnP option as well. Disable that. Done Disable all port forwarding. Done Turn off router. Turn off ATA. Turn on router. Wait a few minutes. Turn on ATA. Done Audio works both ways, but we're still getting the calls. My wife says it hasn't happened in the past 30 minutes, but it did ha...

Re: Possible SIP scanner trying to hack my phone system?

I have never reviewed the ATA call logs. Do all ATA's have this feature? I'll try to check in a bit. I've never used an SPA2000, but it should at least show last caller number or something. Check under Line 1 status. I'll try the UPnP option as well. Disable that. Disable all port forwarding. Turn ...

Re: Possible SIP scanner trying to hack my phone system?

I haven't read everything, but do you actually have any evidence you're being targeted by SIP scanners as opposed to an annoying robodialer in India for the purpose of building an active phone number list? FPL call logs aren't going to list hangups. FPL call logs only show calls that have been answ...

Re: Possible SIP scanner trying to hack my phone system?

No problem. I'm well aware of the importance of letting sleeping children lie! I would test to see if the unwanted calls arrive with SIP unchecked, if you have not tested this already. I have been looking through the router's manual. Unfortunately the explanation of this feature is extremely brief ...

Re: Possible SIP scanner trying to hack my phone system?

Thanks Mango.

So I should go ahead an uncheck SIP? So basically the only change I would have made today is enable SPI.

I still can't do any testing right now because we're trying to get my son to nap.

Sounds like it.

It was originally unchecked when i was already receiving calls.

I checked it as you suggested and calls still came in.

Okay, I'm glad you have two-way audio again. Thank you very much for replying so quickly with the results of all this testing. I think the only thing we don't yet know is if you receive scanning calls with SIP unchecked. If possible, please test this, as one-way audio is something that Fongo Suppor...

Re: Possible SIP scanner trying to hack my phone system?

So we're back to my original problem.
I'm getting one ring phone calls about every minute :(

I've changed the SIP port on my ATA but that didn't help.

Currently on my firewall settings

Enable SPI : checked
UDP Endpoint Filtering : Port and Access Restricted
SIP: checked

On the Voice >> SIP tab of your ATA, hopefully you can set the following: Handle VIA received: yes Handle VIA rport: yes Substitute VIA Addr: yes On your router, we will use the settings I suggested originally. Enable SPI: Checked UDP Endpoint Filtering: Port and Address Restricted SIP: Unchecked I...

Re: Possible SIP scanner trying to hack my phone system?

Actually I have a problem now. It seems that I the end user is not able to hear me. I called the house with my cell, and I could hear my wife through the phone, but she wasn't able to hear me at all :( That could be a side effect of unchecking SIP. Let's try this combination instead: Enable SPI: Ch...
