Re: DID for Incoming only?

Thank you all for replying, but I guess I did not explain myself properly. Here's the thing: I have an ATA with the VoIP unlock key I bought almost 3 years ago (btw, thank you FPL for having spared me a few hundred, maybe even a couple of thousand, dollars inasmuch as I don't have to pay an exorbita...

Re: DID for Incoming only?

Yes, but that doesnt work for me, because I need to be able to use it with an ATA, and ring an actual phone (or rather, route the call via an ATA gateway).

But thanks for replying anyway...

DID for Incoming only?

(I tried searching the forums, but found nothing, I swear!). Hi, Please, correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think FPL (or any of Fibernetics' cos) offers Incoming DIDs only. The service that they have been announcing for +1 (prob +2) year now on the welcome page that would cost 99c would be for a...

Follow me numbers

I have a bit of an issue: In our household we have 2 accounts with DellVoice (app) and 1 with FreePhoneLine (main home phone number, ATA). I have the main FPL number forwarding to my cell phone, and I had one DV forwarding to the FPL main one, no problem. I then needed to forward the second DV to my...

Re: Service Interruption - March 18, 2012

People, people... Really????? The phones go down for a morning and some start thinking it's the end of the world! Remember, this is a *FREE* service (even if you paid the $50 SIP settings, that's *nothing* compared to what you'd be paying monthly to any other provider), and it's reliable 99% of the ...

Re: Easing Call Follow Me restrictions

I agree. It happened to me, too. And what makes it even harder is... what if more than one member of a family want to have their call forwarding set to their home phone, for example? In my case, I set it up to forward to the FPL number, and hopefully that one will then forward to my cell phone (have...

Re: Toronto 311

What if we add the substitution to the dial plan?

I tried and it works for me ;-)

Cheers!

Alright. Problem solved (restarted the PC, tried again, and voila! No hint as to why, though!).

Thanks. Cheers,

Re: FPL soft not installing

Thanks for your reply. I *do* have a firewall (Windows Defender), but I don't see why it's not being installed, as all other traffic (via http, ftp, SMTP/POP3, etc) flows normally. Can you please give me more details as to which port/type of traffic the installer is targeting? I don't feel comfortab...

[RESOLVED] FPL soft not installing

Hello, Upon trying to install the soft I just downloaded, I get the following error message: FPL requires an active Internet connection for installation. Please, check your network configuration and proxy settings. Well, I *do* have Internet (as can be verified by my ability to post this), but have ...
