Re: 032813 incoming calls down again
Hello. I thought it was working properly but after testing several times using a cell phone and another freephoneline account the problem persists. *79 is not a service as per the announcement I hear when I enter it into the phone. I checked the account settings and don't see anything out of the ord...

Re: FPL Down - Tuesday 5th of March - 1250hrs
HI. The problem was on their end with some internal server issues relating to the Follow Me settings that were clear on the user side, but were different on their internal end, which we cannot see. Also, they send you one email to use sip.fongo.com, another one to use voip.freephoneline.ca (that was...

Re: FPL Down - Tuesday 5th of March - 1250hrs
Why are your people telling me to configure an ATA using sip.fongo.com when your website tells me to configure for voip.freephoneline.ca? My lines using voip.freephoneline.ca work fine, but new lines for sip.fongo.com are outgoing only and all incoming go straight to vmail. Please correct the intern...

Re: FPL Down - Tuesday 5th of March - 1250hrs
This is beginning to become a bad joke! Seriously FPL/Fongo, did your management not think it was a bad idea to completely get rid of your live telephon support people without telling your own customers? How about even asking them for their opinion first BEFORE you even did it to see how it would im...

VOIP down again?
3 different PAP2/PAP2T now cannot login to the servers yet http://status.fongo.com/ shows all services up. I also noticed there is now no way to contact someone for support over the telephone. What the hell is wrong with this picture? I can't even find-out what's wrong with a new account they just s...

Re: Rogers cable
Hi. Try adding a router of any kind to your cable modem directly, and then connect you ATA and your other computers to this router. Now your ATA should work just fine.

Re: Calling out & its not ringing-Trendnet 652BRP & LinksysP
Hi. Some TrendNet routers are crap when it comes to working with the PAP2's, and the 652BRP and the 632BRP, but their 431BRP and the 432BRP (G) are amazing, right out of the box. After many, many days reflashing and configuring the 652BRP and the 632BRP would not consistently work with the PAP2's at...

Re: How to set up followme to a US number
Hi. I travel in The U.S.A. and use my MagicJack for making and receiving calls while in a hotel/condo/house. But while out and about, the only way to do what you want is one method only and it is cheap. Get a prepaid SIM card from T-Mobile and prepay for the year for only $100 USD (expires in 365 da...

Re: Signal breaking up using Rogers Rockethub
Hi. VOIP over wireless internet does work with Rogers, Bell, and Telus, but the trick is to change the Codec so that the ATA does not try to go for the most bandwidth possible, hence the lag and dropped packets. Check these urls: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1199403, http://www.broadbandre...

Re: DSL with Dry Loop Problems
Hi. The TP-Link TD-8816 is an amazing ADSL modem and single port router combo that works perfectly with the Linksys PAP2 ATA's. I ran mine for over 1 year without any glitches, even with 2 PAP2's connected to the TD-8816 through an external switch which then connects to a wireless router setup as a ...

Hi. What's going on with the voice mail again today? 2 days now all I get is a message to please hang up and try again. When can we expect the services to start working normally again? No inbound calls or vmail
Something I just noticed after purchasing a config file for my Linksys PAP2 is that if the internet connection goes down for any reason, or the power goes out in our area, when someone tries to call my FPL local tel #, they sometimes get a fast-busy signal (beeping), a very long delay, and then some...

Re: Help...a couple of things not working
Sounds like an issue I had with a few routers that would not allow any ATA device to work behind it at all. In the end I replaced the wireless routers and have never looked back. Bad router was the TrendNet TEW-632BRP and the good one was the TrendNet TEW-432BRP. Refurb NetGear 802.11n, I think it w...

Re: Can I fax with freephoneline?
Hello. It works but you may have to adjust the speed of your fax machine and set it slower. Some machines are auto-sensing and try to run at 33K, but some machines can be manually set to operate at up to a specific speed. 9600baud is fine for faxing. Also, some machines have line sensitivity and/or ...

Re: Can not receive calls ..
I found a similar issue with the TrendNet TEW-632BRP wireless router (802.11n). Using any firmware this device would not consistently allow FPL to work properly with a Linksys PAP2T, even with any type of port forwarding or a DMZ setup. But using their TrendNet TEW-432BRP wireless router (802.11g) u...

Re: Question about PAP-2T, SPA2102 and SPA3102
Fax machines do work on FPL, but I've noticed that at times you have to adjust the speed and/or line sensitivity of the fax machine to work properly, or you'll have problems with sending faxes properly. As far as receiving faxes goes, it does work, but the call-waiting can tend to terminate an incom...
