Re: Double call forwarding work/not work on FPL?
After wait for a few days, in not seeing HELP/RESPONSE from FPL, I experienced some figures of the following parameters myself. How did you contact our support and receive no response - phone or email? All of our email tickets are caught up until the end of yesterday evening. If you had emailed in ...

Re: Alarm Systems
Although FPL VoIP may work for alarm system signal, but I personally don't recommend to count on VoIP phone line for alarm system as there is no certain of when the system will go down and out of service. Also there is no certain of the UDP will be delivered without error or glitch to the destinatio...

Re: Softphone Ver. 3.0.1.0 Test Connection.
Starzone, I would suggest you play with the softphone for a while to verify and validate various features from FPL before you decide to purchase a configuration file and install your ATA. I have a Grandstream HT286 single telephone ATA, very cheap around $35-40. I used it for my company's VoIP in th...

Quit softphone not mean to the VoIP server as "Unavailable"
I found a bug after the server software upgrade on Oct 6, 2010. I always use softphone on my PC and forward to my cell when not using softphone or exiting it on my PC. It was working all the time before the upgrade that after I "quit" the softphone by either select "exit" on the ...

Re: Double call forwarding work/not work on FPL?
I also tried to use a different carrier phone say AIC to call my office phone number. I got the same result. The "Reject" was done on the FPL softphone. i.e. if the action is manual initiated, the second call forward to my cell work. However, if it leaves it to FPL to time out, it is not f...

Use the local VM access number for LD calls
FPL currently make purchasing LD pre-paid voucher a lot easier on-line. It will definitely stimulate the LD call revenue by encouraging users to make LD calls using their softphones and ATA home phones. May I suggest FPL to kindly consider enhancing the VM local access number's capability to not onl...

Kris,
Thank you for the update. We are looking forward to the fix in the near future. It is a bit inconvenience while we are on the go and may miss important calls when we are in a conversation on the phone.

Re: Allow Free Phone Line number to be added as Follow me
$30/year is already a good investment plus you can call entire US and Canada free and a portable good quality Magic jack soft/wired phone in addtional to the FPL ATA at home. The Magic Jack softphone quality is a lot more better than the FPL softphone and you can switch between different audio devic...

"voicemail" button flash on softphone for new voicemail?
I got a question: 1. Will the "Voicemail" button (orange button) flash when there is a new voice mail? I notice that when there are voice mails in my voice mail box, the "voicemail" button on the softphone (release 3.0.1) is not flashing. There is no way to know voice mail messag...

I would like to know if we can have two softphones installed on two different computers with individual FPL# that share the same public IP behind a router. e.g. Computer A: Number 1: 1-403-123-4567 Internal IP: 192.168.10.100 UDP port for voice: 13000 Computer B: Number 2: 1-403-123-4568 Internal IP...

Re: Can I two numbers with the softphone and the ATA?
IF you have softphone installed on your PC or you have login freephoneline account, it will record into your cookie that you are an existing user. As per the FPL terms and conditions, they basically only allow one number per user (unique e-mail account) per IP, etc. Therefore, you have to uninstall ...

Re: please bring back ability to turn voicemail off
I guess (only personal guess), having the voicemail answer incoming call provide you convenience not missing message from important callers on one hand but it ensures all incoming calls will be "successful call" to FPL even you are not on-line or accept the call. With this, FPL will be sur...

Re: Can I forward 2 lines to one number?
To strike a balance between people abuse the feature to forward mutliple numbers to one number and the convenience for users to have two to three numbers to forward to one number for personal use, I think limit the number of freephoneline numbers that can be forwarded to the same number to 3 would b...

Re: Busy signal when line in use?
I have exactly the same problem as edp do.
3rd party call in while the freephoneline softphone is in use, the 3rd party get a busy tone after few seconds.
It should be a bug after server upgrade as I remember that I have this working before.
