Re: "Toronto" 311

Off-topic --- Unless Big Smoke took over AB. There's a separate thread where I have posted some 2-1-1 and 5-1-1 info also, some of which is relevant for AB. So a quick forum search for the relevant info, and if there is something more that you need, post it there in the proper thread! Thanks! :) Edi...

Re: Linksys PAP2 Line 2 usage and Google Voice set up?

Yes, I think I did set up the routes. This is the first time I have looked at PBXes, so I have no idea if I did it right or not. My goal was to get calls going out via GV so it would pick up the areas not covered by FPL in Canada. I read on their site that the trunk will not show up in the status w...

Re: Linksys PAP2 Line 2 usage and Google Voice set up?

Well to be honest, I didn't either. But I read on a forum that you go to TRUNKS -> Add Trunk -> Add SIP Trunk; then in the URL of the page change &tech=SIP to &tech=GTALK and you should get a page to add a gtalk account. This doesn't sound the 'official' way of doing it, but it worked for m...

Re: Smartphone Application Beta Testers Wanted!

In preparation for an upcoming product launch, freephoneline is calling on you, our users, for some feedback! The application will automatically connect you to a local access number in whichever city you're in (provided we have coverage there). You can then call through the application, for free, t...

If you have a Linksys ATA, you probably keyed *77. Press *87 to deactivate call blocking of anonymous callers.

Tried that, seems did not work for me. perhaps the problem is from pbxes.org? will check on that. Thanks.

I have used DID together with VOIP provider, no problem. Only notice lately with FPL, probably pbxes.org does it, will check it.

FPL blocks anonymous calls?

Just noticed lately that my line blocks anonymous callers, is this a feature or something? If a feature, hope there is an option there to let people to choose whether to block those calls or not.

Thanks.

Re: please bring back ability to turn voicemail off

Cool, will see how it works. Steve, still a question here: With an actual phone voicemail, if you get a call but don't know who is the caller, you may let it go to the voicemail, then listen who is at the other end, and if you want to talk to him/her, you can pick up the phone and start to talk. is ...

Steve, did you mean it is for actual phone, not softphone? That would be cool. Thanks.

Re: please bring back ability to turn voicemail off

I guess it would be the same thing if people use voicemail functionality in their phone/cell phone - also generate answered call from the caller's point of view. Is there any way to let the built-in voicemail in the phone to show there is message from FPL? I prefer this way or even better the phone'...
