Re: Can I keep mobile number and fongo number on my android?

Exactly what provider that you choose depends on your needs and there are a lot to choose from. I have a local number from one provider ($1 per month) and make most of my outgoing calls with another.
I have sent you a pm.

Re: Can I keep mobile number and fongo number on my android?

I am not sure what you mean. I do not have a landline and use voip for incoming and outgoing calls. I really can't use Fongo for incoming (and most outgoing) as their service in not good in Newfoundland so I have to use other voip providers. I am not sure what you mean by "...most applications ...

Re: Anyone else feel taken advantage of?

If you have ported your number and paid the fee you can use the credentials that you have on one phone at a time and (typically) that could be on an ATA or on a mobile using the CSipSimple (or similar). If you try to run on more that one device you will get problems. You can also get the Fongo app a...

Re: Lowest data plan (help)

Yes, Speakout is probably the best deal if you make a small number of calls and live in Ontario(mostly). The national coverage is spotty as they seem use the Rogers network (hardly any coverage in NL except for St. John.s) otherwise I might use them. I rarely use my cell phone even once a month (and...

Re: Lowest data plan (help)

I have a a cellphone (around 8 years old now) that I use only for emergencies and carry with me all the time because I am not as young as I was. When I am at home I make mainly local calls and calls to relatives in the UK and for that I use voip. I use a Virgin Mobile (Bell) prepaid plan of 100$ per...

Re: Local number not working

From you dialplan it looks like 514 394-5555 should not work. Try changing |011xxxxxxxxxxxx.| to |011x.| and dialing 0115143945555. or adding an entry for the 514 area code if that is what you want. Likewise for the 1 888 835-6281 number should not work but you could add an entry for toll free numbe...

Re: POTS and SIP

+I used an SPA3102 that way for a number of years and it worked very reliably. It is possible to call in on the voip line and transfer the call to the local pots line which can be useful if calling from abroad to number local to your home phone. I no longer have a POTS phone.

Re: No dial tone since I move to new country

Thailand is one of the places that might do some VOIP blocking particularly in hotels but voip clearly works for some people. I assume that you have tried to determine what IP address the ATA receives (If any) from the router. To do this, you need to pick up the phone attached to the Line 1 jack and...

Re: No dial tone since I move to new country

What country are you now in? Which Linksys ATA are you using? Do you have an original Linksys switching power (approved for the local voltage) supply?

s'il vous plaît noter

Des frais de connexion de 4 cents sont facturés pour tout appel vers des destinations autres que nos villes d'appels gratuites

la charge serait de 6 cents (4 cents + 2 cents) pour la première minute.

Re: Where I can enter my WiFi SSID & Password in PAP2T-NA

As Jake says, the PAP2 has nothing to do with WIFI. The PAP2 connects via ethernet to your router (or perhaps the modem/router) and gets its IP etc. from there and this should not involve wifi at all. The ethernet connections are not subject to the wifi password and are not involved with wifi at all...

Re: Two Fongo ATAs on the same network?

It you have separate accounts on each ATA then there should be no problem with SIP/voip as long as each ATA has its own internal IP and set of ports forwarded from the router. It could be that the way that the Fongo service is configured might prevent it working correctly as the ATA(s) may use confi...

As far as I know it is OK for you to post in French. (Check the Board Index for specific groups in your language).
Can others call to your Android accounts or the Fongo account?

Re: Help

Long shot but check the power supply (should be 5 volts + a little off load) as they sometimes degrade and this can result in poor performance from the ATA.

How are you trying to call? I assume that you must be using your PC or a tablet (ie. freephoneline is not the SIP device name)

Re: Is FPL Down Again April 10???

Try going through the reboot cycle. Turn off the PAP2, router and modem and wait 10 minutes. Then, turn on the modem, wait until connected and then turn on the router - once connected then turn on the ATA. Does it work?

Yes, your problem almost certainly come for failing to forward required port from the router to the ATA. You might find that running STUN will do the trick.

Re: My Fongo Adapter Melted!

My adapter overheated, melted and stopped working. What do I do now? I had 3 (1 new and the others warranty replacements) Grandstream ATAs (486?) over heat and one even melted before I gave up on them. On the other hand I have a 286 that is years old and has always worked perfectly and I guess it i...

You need to make sure that you have configured your computer to allow port 13000 to be used. That would be in whatever fire wall configuration that the computer has.

Re: No outgoing no incoming service

Try powering off both the router and the ATA , wait for 10 minutes and then restart the router followed by the ATA once the router has connected. Tried but less than 10 mins as you suggested. But Google Voice and VOIP.ms working perfectly so it is not ATA or router fault. Also, second number from F...

Re: No Incoming Calls

It seems that you have not given your ATA a fixed IP and forwarded ports. For now, power down your router (or equivalent) and ATA, wait 10 minutes and then power up the router followed by the ATA. This will usually get things running for a while. If that does not work you can also try running STUN o...

Re: Cannot hear caller's incoming or outgoing call - Please

Just for fun, try "NAT Traversal (STUN): Yes" and put in the stun server "stun.callwithus.com". Reboot both the router and the ATA. If it works then you probably need to look carefully at your port forwarding router->ATA carefully to see if that is done correctly. Also check that...
