Re: No ringing for incoming calls, straight to voicemail
UPnP/NAT-PNP section showed two forwarded ports, and the Enable UPnP checkbox was checked. I deleted those entries and unchecked the box. Triggered doesn't seem to have anything checked, just the example entry, unchecked. I haven't run a virus scan in a while, probably a good idea. Nobody in my hous...

Re: No ringing for incoming calls, straight to voicemail
Thank you, I deleted that entry and my service is working normally now. Regarding security for my ATA: I'm looking in the Port Forwarding tab on my Tomato router, but am not sure what to look for. In the DMZ sub-tab, the 'Enable DMZ' checkbox is unchecked. In the Basic sub-tab, I see the following: ...

No ringing for incoming calls, straight to voicemail
Hi, just wondering if anyone here has had this issue?
No ringing for incoming calls, just straight to voicemail.
Thanks.
PAP2T, FFL has been working great for me with very few issues in the last 4 years.

Re: PLEASE Provide Halifax Phone Numbers!!!
2014 has come and gone.
So that's at least 3 years this issue has been ignored without explanation.
All we'd like is an update and an actual explanation of how things are coming in terms of Nova Scotia service, or what is causing a problem. Surely that's not too much to ask?

"With regards to 3) 4), I should have specified that they should be done while the problem is happening. Since it only happens a couple of times a year, it may be more difficult to catch than I thought. Let's try all the solutions to the problem and hopefully one will work." Not sure what ...

Re: Can't receive calls. "The number you are trying to reach
1) Has this ever worked or is this with a brand new new unlock key? It's been functional for the last few years, but this issue or a similar one comes up on a fairly regular basis (couple of times per year). 2) Are you able to make outgoing calls? Yes, no problem with that. 3) On the status page of ...

Can't receive calls. "The number you are trying to reach..."
"The number you are trying to reach is unavailable" message plays when I test my FPL phoneline. Nobody's calls are getting through, they just go straight to voicemail.

Not sure what to do here, my Pap2t only has 2 lights on it (line 1 and line 2 are off, power and ethernet are on).

Email notification when voicemail is received?
I was wondering what options are available for keeping track of who's calling my FPL phoneline at home when I'm at work or the library using. Usually I'm on my computer and have my email open. Is there a way to have an email sent to me automatically when I miss a call or receive a voicemail? I think...

I understand the frustration but the competition bureau part made me lol! Do you have any idea how useless federal public institutions are in this country? Not only will they ignore your grievance, they will manage to spend thousands of taxpayer dollars on the paperwork and administrative processing...

No service -- please help?
Currently Using PAP2T. Didn't change any settings. No service, incoming or outgoing. The line 1 light is also off on the Pap2t (the freephoneline light). Voip.ms on line 2 still works fine, and the other 3 lights on the pap2t are fine. Please help?

Re: service down or just me :)?
My service seems to be down, I'm not sure if there's a new configuration I should be using? No dial tone, no incoming or outgoing calls. I'm using PAP2T like I have for years, haven't touched or changed anything recently.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

New version of softphone provided by FPL not working for me
Anyone using alternative software with FPL? I have the ATA setup already but am away from my phone and would like to check my voicemail from my PC. I tried downloading the softphone from the FPL website but after installing I can't get it to work, I just get this error ding every 2 seconds. I don't ...

Re: Incoming callers receiving busy signal
Followed instructions at the link you posted and the issue is now resolved. Thank you. ***** One other question though... I posted here thinking Fongo homephone and Freephoneline are the same thing. Are they? The service I'm using is the one where I paid $50 for a file and then have a free home phon...

Incoming callers receiving busy signal
FPL worked perfectly for years until the past few weeks. I have not knowingly changed anything on my end. PAP2T-NA. But now incoming callers just get a fast busy signal even though my line is not busy. Don't know how many calls I've missed because people just get a busy signal, or how long the issue...

Re: Incoming Calls are down?
Incoming doesn't work for me. Have opened an account with voip.ms and will use that until FPL gets their act together. This is really, really disappointing. I had been using FPL for a couple of years without any issues, and now this massive failure of their system. Worst of all is that they've elimi...

Please help - my incoming number doesn't work anymore
When I make a test call to my fpl number from a separate phone it just goes to fast busy signal. Outgoing calls are fine though.

Is there a way to make my phone#'s call id look different?
When I call people I want my caller ID to show my other number, not my FPL number (since it is wrong area code and confuses people).
Is there a way to do this? I'm using a Linksys PAP2T with the FPL config file. I also forward another VOIP number (from another company) to my FPL number.
Thanks.

What is the minimum number of subscribers that Freephoneline needs in a given area to make expansion to that area economically viable?

Re: Cities/Ratecentres for DID expansion
I vote for Halifax, NS. By the way, in the case that FPL is not offering their own phone numbers, is it still possible to port a number since there's free calling? Example: FPL doesn't have Victoria phone numbers to give you, but if you currently have a home phone with Bell in Victoria, can you port...
