Re: CONNECTION FEE
I can for sure say this really sucks. It reminds me of those shady convenience stores that sell you a calling card then you get home and notice there is a connection charge for a call you make, so the minutes don't add up. I really don't understand the connection fee charge, it makes checking your m...

Re: Sound Cuts Out for Half a Second Randomly
This is an update to my previous comments on this matter of dropped audio. I'm currently setup with pbxes.com with freephoneline as one of my trunk lines and my PAP2 as one of my extensions. Everything seems to have been smooth since the start of the test, as Kris stated there might be something goi...

Re: Sound Cuts Out for Half a Second Randomly
Thanks for replying back with some hint of what's going on. This case of NAT and RTP proxy can probably be the cause, but do you have a solution or any thoughts we can implement from our end to remedy the problem? i'm going to connect freephoneline to webbased pbx (e.g. voxalot) and see if I get any...

Re: Sound Cuts Out for Half a Second Randomly
Everybody can jump up and down saying they think they fixed the problem from their end but thats not the case. The problem is from FREEPHONELINE itself "PERIOD". I have other voip lines on my DSL and cable lines and no hiccups EVER but with freephoneline every few minutes or every few seco...

Re: Sound Cuts Out for Half a Second Randomly
I've been having the same problem (getting cut off half second or lost packets as its indicated on my pap2t). I start getting this issue in Septemeber/October but didn't think much of it. It's become seriously annoying I tested my setup with pingplotter pro there doens't seem to be any problems but ...

Re: 5 - 90 Min into the call and drops out

Have 2DSL lines running in MLPPP Acanac and Teksavvy with PAP2. Would love to resolve this. i'm going to tr...

Had the same issue this morning - calling the FPL number was a fast busy signal. Calling out was dead air after dialing. But the problems seems to have been fixed. It started at around 11am to about 12pm.

Wow you guys are seriously reading into this too much. There might have been a change in the back end for the useragent verification. I had the same problem "this account number is not valid" when wanting to dial out. I use Elastix for my home system and here is what needed to be done to b...

Re: Dropped Packets
i tested the system late tonight and things have seem to have gone back to normal. Packet loss is still there but it's ALOT better than before. Before: 5 Min Call - 500packet loss (711u or 729a codec) This Evening: 5 Min Call - 150PACKET LOSS (this was the norm before if I remember correctly - G711)...

Re: POOR CALL QUALITY
Steve thanks for your response but please have different levels of tech support. With the free service that you guys have I'm even surprised that you do HAVE TECH SUPPORT, but if you do have it let it work for your customers. I also think it would be wiser to have a higher level tech answer question...

This is all related to the DTMF setting. I dont remember if using the softphone you have the feature of changing it, but saw in another thread the admin indicating that there is a option.

That's a really good observation, maybe this could be related to the voltage/freq setting in our PAP box?

Re: found 2 freephoneline bugs
To answer your first question - try not to have the softphone and your ata registering at the same time or ON at the same time. Callers not hearing ringing is supposedly the fault of the way the "programmers" are routing calls this week (this is what steve one of the admins has said). In r...

Re: Choppy sound both on incoming and outgoing calls
Had FPL or about a year now getting dropped packets when looking in my ATA2 info page. In a 10 minute conversation about 800 - 1200 packets are dropped, all of my setting have been the same for the last while. using G729 codec only with 0.20 RTP, tried to pinpoint the problem but no luck. Also to th...
