Re: Possible service interruption for some users Dec 19th, 2

For the past 4-days now, my 4-line IP-Phone is "frequently" losing registration with Fongo.
All other lines on my IP-Phone are registered with other ISP's and working fine.
But, my Fongo line continuously loses registration...

Re: Is fongo service down????

I have been experiencing lost phone registrations off and on throughout the day over the past 3-days. I use a 4-Line Cisco IP-Phone registered using Fongo Unlock key. All three other lines on my phone are registered with 3 different other VoIP providers. They are all stable. But, Fongo registrations...

Re: iNum +883 Country Code Calling - Support Request

Just a heads up, i have passed this information along to the decision makers to see if they can do anything with this. Just thought I would mention that just today Iristel, another Canadian CLEC, is announcing (via Canada News Wire) that they are now routing iNum +883 calls (for free, I believe). h...

Re: Please Support +888 U.N. Disaster Relief Call Routing

Colin Lightfoot at iNum/Voxbone has just posted the following article on the iNum.net website indicating how +888 call routing can help in times of global natural disasters, similar to what was just experienced this week with Hurricane Sandy: http://www.inum.net/?p=852 The more telecom service provi...

Please Support +888 U.N. Disaster Relief Call Routing

The ITU (International Telecommunications Union) has allocated the global country code +888 to the OCHA branch of The United Nations in an effort to facilitate global humanitarian disaster relief response. I have posted a blog post on this topic: http://blog.voipdiy.com/2012/10/united-nations-ocha-t...

Re: iNum +883 Country Code Calling - Support Request

 Whether or not people know about iNUM is not the issue ... and to that end, if more providers start supporting iNUM, then there is a higher likelihood that word will spread and that more and more people will become familiar with it I think at this time FPL or Fongo just need to expand more ...

Re: iNum +883 Country Code Calling - Support Request

If we are going to advocate for this, then we should push hard for it to be entirely free, as even at .01 or .02 per minute, you have to add the 4c connection fee, which makes the first minute .05-.06 ... I agree. Free iNum routing is what I (and everyone else, I'm sure) would hope for. But, many V...

Re: iNum +883 Country Code Calling - Support Request

Hi TheHardy - I can certainly empathize with your frustrations with the softphone app not processing DTMF tones. In my case, I felt the $50 unlock key was a reasonable deal considering that it allows me to BYOD and use my own preferred and proven VoIP ATA's and Softphones. For unlimited free calling...

Re: iNum +883 Country Code Calling - Support Request

Hello TheHardy, I can assure you the problems you are experiencing (sending DTMF tones) lies with the PC softphone application. I experienced the exact same DTMF problems when I first signed up with Dell Voice. So, what I quickly did was purchase the "Voip Unlock Key" from Fongo (a one-tim...

Re: iNum +883 Country Code Calling - Support Request

Thanks for your responses guys on this plea for support for iNum call routing. Seagame2001, you are correct in stating that many people do not understand or know what iNum is. Raising awareness is part of the issue in getting support. Dozens of VoIP service providers have already started routing iNu...

iNum +883 Country Code Calling - Support Request

I would like to ask for Dell Voice and Fongo's support in routing IP-based calls to the iNum created International Country Code +883, for free, or at nominal cost of 1 or 2 cent/min. Currently, DV/Fongo rate look-up for international calls to the iNum based +883 country code is...... $12.08 .... OUC...

No service here in Alberta. I have been noticing intermittent registration over the past 3 hours. I use a 4-Line Cisco IP-Phone. All three other lines are steady and registered just fine... as usual. However, Dell Voice Fongo registration is currently "unavailable" still as of 9:25 PM Moun...

Cisco SPA504G 4-Line IP-Phone

I have been using the SPA504G for about two years now with very satisfactory results. It's a 4-Line desktop IP-Phone, which makes it a great choice for registering with multiple accounts on one phone. I wrote this blog article to try to make it as simple as possible to successfully configure the SPA...

I have successfully connected my Cisco SPA504G 4-Line IP-Phone to the sip.fongo.com servers, and it is generally working very good. 1. However, Voice Mail Waiting Indicator - MWI - that flashes a lig...
