My gear is on a UPS too. the hit I took yesterday wasn't power it was service and it was a quick blip. I manually rebooted the power on both after they did not reconnect. usually it does. So before I had a chance to do anything everything started working again, so know I am wondering could it be that it just took that long (24+ hrs) for my ATA to register with free phone line?

It appears my PAP2T has failed after 5 years, I got an Audio Codes MP114VOIP Gateway from a guy who closed his small business, anyone know how to configure these devices, seems much more complicated that the PAP2 was.

Thanks Jake, I did reboot the ATA and it did resolve the issue I just wanted to find out why this happened. Any idea why outgoing calls still worked if the ATA was not registered?

My phones were working fine, then I installed the softphone on one of my laptops and used it to make a call, now all my incoming calls are going to my softphone and my home phones/ATA do not get the calls. Even after I logout and shut down the softphone application incoming callers just get dead air...
