Re: Thoughts on FPL deleting accounts after 90 days of inact
Buying the unlock key (50$) to get rid of the 90 days delays look like a good deal to me. Plus, it gives you the key that make it possible to connect it on a VOIP phone.

Re: $ 35 fee for 911?
This fee goes completly against the general idea that calling 911 should be free Unfortunately, the government disagrees with you. Complying with the CRTC's regulations for VoIP 911 is mandatory, and expensive. (And inefficient.) This is not about money, but about emergencies. I will probably never...

Re: $ 35 fee for 911?
This fee goes completly against the general idea that calling 911 should be free, like in a phonebooth. Moreover, do you need to have 35$ in your account to call 911 in case of emergency? Of course, I think nobody should rely only on VOIP in case of emergency, but what if it is your last way to ask ...

Re: Best ATA adapter with FPL
I personnaly use the Gigaset A580IP and C610IP. I know this is not an ATA, so it doesn't really respond to the question. But I was feeling that buying a phone that would connect directly to the VOIP would offer a better experience and less problems. It actually works really well, the base is wired w...

Happy customer with feedback
Hi, I'm using FreePhoneLine for nearly 3 years now, and basically, I'm an happy customer! We had some problem with the service not always working in the first few month, but it will be nearly two years without any problem! Soud quality is great, you couldn't tell it's a VOIP or a normal land line. B...

Re: Siemens Gigaset IP [A510/A580/C610/S675]
I found this link, telling that we need to switch from sip.fongo.com to voip.freephoneline.ca. I'm still using sip.fongo.com, and it seems to work ok. Can somebody tell me if I need to update my settings on my phone and on my previous post?

Re: How to port a phone number ???
port from another service to FPL take about 7 to 10 business days before you can call in and they will tell you if you able to port your phone numbers or not Yes I know that it takes some days (or weeks). This is why I want to do it at soon as possible. I have to admit that I'm asking myself a lot ...

Re: How to port a phone number ???
I think drop a telephone support is a huge mistake from Fongo It would be not if they were a better self service on Internet. But it is not the case, so they were not ready to drop phone service. To FPL moderator : please tell me how can I port a number. I want to do this in the next days. If not, ...

Re: How to port a phone number ???
Well I'm disapointed to see that it is not only me that cannot find where to go to port my number. This is really scary, because it makes me thing that FreePhoneLine will close soon. I already have one number with them, but will I give more money to FPL if it gives the impression that it will be clo...

How to port a phone number ???
Hi! I wanted to port my phone number to a freephoneline account. So I called the phone number written on the product page (1 866 515 5550). When reaching the automatic message, it was telling me to use the self service on the Website or on the app. So I search on the website, and even install the ap...

Re: Possible service interruption for some users Dec 19th, 2
When I tried to call my FPL around 19h EST today, I got a busy signal. But outgoing calls were working. Now it is 23h EST, and neither outgoing or incoming calls are working, but at least the voicemail does. It been six months since I bought my SIP key, and I really happy with this service. And I kn...

Re: Gigaset A580IP + FPL, will it works?
Hi, I just received the phone, install it, and tried a little bit. For now, it is perfect. I've plugged the phone on a 50Mbit/15Mbit connection, and the sound quality is perfect, like a normal phone. Only little problem, I didn't managed to get the phone indicate if there is new voicemails in my fon...

Do you have this sound everytime you call? Is there only one beep every X seconds (where X is constant)? May be it is only the sound that tells you that somebody else is trying to reach you.

Re: how to cancel free fpl number?
Just a question about account being deleted after 90 days. If I bought the SIP configuration, and let's say I dont use my phone for 90 days (I'm in vacation, for instance), will my account be deleted even if I have a SIP configuration?

Oh, too bad I didn't notice that cotsco was selling the C610A, or I would I bought it there. Gigaset phone aren't easy to find. Re: Gigaset A580IP + FPL, will it works?
I have two different routers I can use : the first one is a Asus WL-520GU with 3.0.1.4 firmware. My second one is a Linksys WRT54G with DD-WRT v24. I would prefer to use my Asus, because it has a better wifi range. But if it's too much trouble, I can install DD-WRT (or another firmware) on it or use...
