Re: Someone at freephoneline has closed my account..SOLVED..

OK, the app is running a little differently than from before, but that may be the difference between 3.2.7 and the previous version.
Now just gotta put a stick-up note as a remider to call outward every 90 days or more.

Re: Someone at freephoneline has closed my account..SOLVED..

OK, sir, My old number is dead and gone, but I keep uninstalling the app 3.2.7 exe and re-installing but that old number keeps appearing in the "my Number" space above the box where you enter the number you want to call, rather than the new FPL number. How do I fix that? Or else in three m...

Re: Someone at freephoneline has closed my account..SOLVED..

My head hurts from all this guff, it was so simple a decade or so ago.

Some moderator changed my 'just passing through' to 'Quiet One' and I can't find the user control panel option to change it back.

Re: Someone at freephoneline has closed my account..SOLVED..

Do you think I will ever get my old number going again I, honestly, have no clue since I've never gone through the account recovery or number restore process. If they've already assigned your number to someone else, it may be difficult. If your number has not been assigned elsewhere, and if you're ...

Re: Someone at freephoneline has closed my account...

Thank You, something arrived into my inbox just as I was reading your response now.

BIG FAT EDIT: Seems to be working now, only change retained was to move the email portion to my Cogeco business account.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this on the forum. You will need to contact them directly using their ticket system........ In particular I would point out the outgoing part in #1. I am not sure if an incoming call counts as you mentioned you had received one last month. Contact them...

Someone at freephoneline has closed my account..SOLVED...

WITHOUT prior contact first. Cannot get into my freephoneline account, and yes it is the same email and password, stored on a password manager that has not changed since Firefox 3! Why is there no longer a service number to call? I've had this for over a decade, always at the same e-mail account. &q...

OK, forgot about them, its been awhile since a client requested fax transmission, as long as you found your own solution,
all's good.

Opinions/Reviews? The best microphone for PC FPL use?

OK, it has been three years since my last post, since then I've built three machines and am no longer concerned about activation [don't ask and I won't tell :D ]. Though a colleague over at the msfn board has gotten 2000Pro to run a six-core AMD with 8GiB of ram {using PAE} and porting over Win7 upd...

Re: Spam faxes are getting annoying

How do you go about sending faxes? You need a fax machine, or is there a way to do this from the computer? OK, I'm necroposting, an old Usenet[now WWW] no-no but you can from the computer for free: http://faxzero.com/ answering Pete's question, if he still wants to know. To the above, yes, spammers...

Windows 2000 softphone support

I am reiterating my stand on you making the softphone app compatible with Win2000 and earlier versions I took a lot of flack from the ignorant and uninformed on this board re: "make freephoneline available to the widest amount of users". My point being it only takes a couple of lines of co...

Re: Make Freephoneline available to the widest amount of use

I highly doubt that! http://www.msfn.org/board/forum/35-windows-nt420002003/ Or you can't be a very good one... just a sheep.... a member of the herd. As for servers, Linux is taking that function over, open source and free or minimal stipend for pre-made CD/DVDs. Hi. I'm an actual systems ad...

Re: Make Freephoneline available to the widest amount of use

I'm adding this to my complaint of you dropping W2kP support in your latter versions [or are you, like some vendors] being pressured by Redmond,Washington to not support any M$ OS that doesn't require activation? It only requires keeping a couple of lines of code. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/695...

Yep, today..I received a call from an employer via the 289 FPL number on my resume and [thanks to the call logs still working] they told me that the voice mail system didn't
click in.

Damn! how many other important calls am I missing?

Are you still getting trashed sound files Null?
Looking at them the trashed file size is only 1K,
when they should be approx 50-900K depending on what the sender had to say.

More like half a cent.
No ATA, just head set.
I'm not privy to the code for the softphone.

If the # is portable, I may try Tpad or another,
getting another # right now is kinda late, I have people
that depend on the one I've got.

Which includes all operating systems and versions. It is a sloppy and lazy programmer that won't do this. Especially when you can still use assembly, cp/m as well as 'C' and the current rave C++. Re: Helpful tips for proper configuration

Voice being chopped up is frequently the result of internet speed. The recommended minimum internet speed is 1Mbps+. If you have something less than this, you may have issues. Also, if you are using much of your bandwidth, make sure that you allocate (or don't use) 1Mbps+ to your VoIP. If you have ...
