Re: audio file format
Have you tried the service previously mentioned earlier (http://www.iphoneconvert.com) or same company but more meaningful name http://www.phoneconvert.com ? I beleive they offer free service so try it and then if it works go with the suggested donation so you get higher priority with file conversio...

Re: Windows mobile softphone version
Try FRING for a softphone for your mobile. It's available for iPhone, Android, Blackberrry and Windows Mobile. There are others as well if you Google or Bing it.

Re: recent problem with VM
When is a fix coming ? It's been two weeks ! I paid for a config file and everything but when people are leaving a voice mail and I can't listen to it because the .au file is corrupted then it makes one think that free (or paid) means terrible service. Please fix this.

My Voice Mail doesn't work either. The .au file seems to be corrupted or something. Been two weeks like this. Thought the fix was finally implemented but it still does not work !

Re: SIP Phone for Iphone
To give you an update.... I downloaded Fring from Apple Apps store (was free) the other night. Fring is great all-in-one interface since it allows for one SIP account and multiple IM accounts such as Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, etc..etc, and even a Skype account. I ordered your configuration settings file and ...

Would you beleive I haven't heard from them ? Nice service they advertise but I can't wait for them !
Any chance FreePhoneline.ca can send in .WAV or .MP3 format? Maybe in next hardware refresh ?
Thanks.

Re: SIP Phone for Iphone
I've downloaded Fring SIP Client. It was free and it not only allows for SIP calls, it also capability for multiple chat clients for IM built in so it's versitile (one interface for MSN, Yahoo, Twitter, ICQ, Google Talk). The only issue is what to input as user name, password and proxy. The manual i...

SIP Phone for Iphone
Is there a preferred SIP phone that works well on FPL.ca for the iPhone? Essentially I want to take calls on my iPhone when I'm not logged onto laptop. Granted I could set follow me to ring my cell phone, but the call can be free and not use cell minutes if I was on a WI-FI Network. If anyone is usi...

Re: Changing File Type for voice mail
I found a work around and just signed up for it. Maybe other iPhone users would like to know about it ? Maybe FPL.ca can provide similar service or work around? I can't be the only iPhone user on here. That said, next smart phone I buy will not be made by Apple. :-) http://www.magikinfo.com/vm2wm/

calling Canada from USA
Question... if i bring my laptop with me on a trip to the USA, and I have your softphone loaded on it, can I make calls to friends or relatives back home in Toronto for free? Just wondering if I'm breaking any FPL rules or would I actually incur long distance charges ?

Changing File Type for voice mail
I went and bought an iPhone (mistake), now when I open my email from the iPhone it cannot read the .au audio format that the voicemail from a caller is recorded in. Is there a way to change it to .WAV or .MP3 through the web interface, customer service, or is the .au the only format for your system ...

Re: Followme Settings Changed from Phone
Hi Amitmeh - yes that's what I thought you were suggesting. It would be great to have all admin options through a landline or cell phone. The computer is not always handy. This would really make the service a game changer... being able to dial in to your own account and make changes without having t...

Re: Followme Settings Changed from Phone
This feature is already built into the softphone. Unless you are talking about something else? The button for the changing the "Follow me" settings is in the bottom right hand corner of the softphone. I will say this though as another suggestion, just like being able to pick up voice mail ...

Re: How can remove a FAX message at voicebox?
Pressing 7 does not clear the message left by a fax. It says to "use the web interface to read the message". I wonder if this only occurs if the Voice Mail to email is set to "copy". I think the "forward" feature would clear the messege through the softphone so there ar...

Pickup Voicemail from Landline or Cellphone
I wondered if there is a way to pick up voice mail from a land line or cell phone? If not a suggestion would be for user to dial own voip number and then press certain keys to access voicemail (ie: press * or # while voice announcemnt is playing). That way the user doesn't have to remember another n...

free Fax to Email
Fax to Email - This is a really great feature !
I had no idea you offered this as part of the free package. You should highlight this in your advertising as I only found out by reading another post in the forum. Other VOIP providers don't have this feature or they charge extra for it.

Softphone and features
A few suggestions for Softphone and features... A way to import Outlook contacts into the Softphone would be great. It would save typing all contacts over again and maintaining them as well. A plug-in for Outlook so it integrates seemly would be even better (ie: open Outlook, click on a contact, hav...
