Re: Block PRIVATE Unknown # - OBIHAI OBi202 ATA
The latest firmware can be downloaded from here: http://www.obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=9.0. I think OBI20x have the option (not sure, I have the "old" Oleg's method on mine and did not feel like changing it. There is some discussion about the feature in one thread in the firmware se...

Re: My analysis of one-way audio issues
May be a different problem (I use an OBI) but I had the one way audio problem when I first start using the FPL. I had to read the OBI FAQs and open a number of ports on my router (not the ports FPL speaks about, those are for their software App only, you need the ones for your ATA). This solved the ...

Re: Block PRIVATE Unknown # - OBIHAI OBi202 ATA
You don't need to do both. You can keep the standard port, if you use the second option ("Oleg's method"). On newer firmware there is even a build in option (default is disabled, however). Read details here: http://obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5467.0

Re: Static iP for ATA box?
Check your ATA documentation. My ATA is an OBI202.It requires a number of ports to be forwarded. Without this you get only "one way voice". It may depend of the router type and settings also, you "may" be able to go around. Probably not "all" ports are really needed (so...

Re: Device losing connectivity
Dial tone is generated by your ATA even if not registered to any server. No dial tone means something wrong with your ATA.

Re: Device losing connectivity
PS - Speaking about timers you MUST use the maximum values. If it say 120-3600 you must use 3600 (anything shorter will get you banned).

Re: Device losing connectivity
I have almost 3 months now of uptime, but on beginning I had the same problems. Probable cause: 1. You don't have the proper timers setup (3600 for disconnection for example, check the settings). These are NOT default timers in any ATA. Wrong timers (to short) will trigger the banning of your device...

Re: Is there way to block telemarketers?
These are not telemarketers, they are much worst (bots called SIP scanners). Read this topic: http://obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5467.0 ; Method 4 (Oleg's) is the best, bullet proof; The other methods will work in some situations but not all. Thanks! I read about that method and trying to und...

Re: Is there way to block telemarketers?
Hi everybody! I just got SIP settings and ported my home phone to FPL last week. I use Obi100 as my adapter. Here is my question: We started getting more stupid telemarketers calls then it was with Bell (at least it's what it looks like). Especially annoying are calls at midnight from some 11111111...

For OBI you need to open this ports in your router: Allow Outgoing: TCP Ports: 6800, 5222, 5223 UDP Ports: 5060, 5061, 10000 to 11000, 16600 to 16998, 19305 Allow Incoming on UDP Port: 10000 Make sure that you set OBI as static IP address, so you can use it for port forwarding (called virtual server...

I have an OBI also, and start getting calls since day one. I use Method 4 (Oleg's method) from here: http://obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5467.0 . Never had a call since then.

Re: one way audio voip.freephoneline.ca - voip2.freephonelin
You need to open some ports on your router. Check your ATA (SPA-2102) specifications. Don't confuse the ports with the one posted on Freephoneline FAQs, those are for their desktop app, your ATA require others. Or set DMZ for your ATA.

You are attacked by a SIP scanner. Read here, the thread is for OBI but should work for other ATAs also.

Google "SIP scanners". There is a thread here with what measures you can take:
http://obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5467.0
It's for OBI but can be applied for other ATAs, I'm sure.
For me the last method works best and is easy to apply.

Re: Config Info: Obihai OBi-110 ATA 2 of 2
Great, this worked for me. I just want to add a note (had the problem). You will need to open some ports on your router also, if not you may get a one way voice only. Check OBI site or your OBI documentation for the ports you need to open. Don't get confused with the ports posted by freephoneline, t...

Google "SIP Scanners". Had the same problem. I use an OBI device and method 4 works for me: http://obitalk.com/forum/index.php?topic=5467.0 If your ATA supports it try it. If not you can try the IP address list (method 3) but freephoneline does not give an official list of used IPs. You ca...

I know you can ask and port your phone number but my case is like this. Have phone with Bell and internet with a third party provider. Intend to switch to another provider and go DSL dry loop. Re: Random IPs calling us
Thanks, this is a great find. However I'm not sure that my OBI202 can take an address range in the access list or only a number of comma separated discrete addresses ( I asked on their forum also). I know that the field accepts a maximum of 512 characters only. Maybe somebody in Fongo/Freephoneline ...

Same problem here. These are SIP scanners. See the link I posted in my request. Freephoneline IP access list ?
Next day after setting my configuration I start getting calls from numbers like "1000" or "10000". After a search on Google I found that these are "SIP scanners" calls. One of the methods to block this is to set X_AccessList on my OBI to only allow calls from a number o...

OBI202 can talk can't hear problem
I have a strange problem with a new OBI202 and freephoneline. If I call the number from outside everything works, it rings I can talk, I can hear. However if I call from the phone connected, the other side rings can hear me but I can not hear anything. I tried this with different phone numbers, same...
