Re: upgrading to new ATA do I just switch?

If you are giving the 110 away or selling it, I would remove your credentials from it, so that someone else does not use your account. If you're keeping it, it's fine to leave it configured as is - just don't have them plugged in at the same time. Otherwise, your phone will ring unpredictably. Your ...

Re: KW5262 SIP client was refused for FPL registration

I prefer to assist users here in the forum, so that other users with the same problem will also be able to benefit. Unfortunately, I've never used a KW5262 so am out of ideas. If it were my device, I would try to obtain a SIP trace to troubleshoot further.

Re: KW5262 SIP client was refused for FPL registration

You may wish to give voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 a try in case this router has a SIP ALG which is causing the problem. Other than that I'm outta ammo.

Check the Regional tab for Block CID Per Call Act Code.

That is a feature of your ATA. Without knowing what ATA you use, it is impossible to answer your question.

Re: KW5262 SIP client was refused for FPL registration

You're confusing your SIP port with FPL's SIP port. It's fine for your SIP port to be any number, but FPL's must be 5060, with the exception of voip4 which listens on 6060. Change to 5060, then post another log, and we'll go from there.

Re: KW5262 SIP client was refused for FPL registration

You're using port 5061. voip.freephoneline.ca only listens on port 5060.

Re: Mango's Guide to Configuring an OBi100, OBi110, and OBi2

What you describe is only necessary when the OBi is behind an inferior/insecure router. Even though your phone won't ring, the scanning traffic still reaches your ATA. The REAL foolproof method is to place your ATA behind a firewall, such as any router with Tomato firmware, no DMZ, and no ports forw...

Very curious. Does voip4.freephoneline.ca respond to ping, and is the IP address it pings 162.213.111.21?

Re: Is voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 dead?

As of this morning, it looks perfectly fine.

Next time you see the problem happening, try to change your Local SIP Port to 29114, while the problem is happening. If this solves the problem, it was caused by your router.

Re: Can't take incoming calls

These symptoms could be caused by several things, the most common of which is a defective SIP ALG with your DL4422 router. If this router has a configuration option to disable its SIP ALG, try to use that. Alternately, try to use voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060 instead of whatever server you are current...

Re: service down or just me :)?

Please make sure your ATA is configured as per the official guide: http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16196

I see that you have a cable ISP; it may be helpful to use the Rogers proxy in the guide I linked above.

If that doesn't solve the problem, let us know what router you use.

Actually not every PSAP has a 10-digit number.

The downside to doing it this way is that the call centre does not have your address, if you are unable to speak.

Re: service down or just me :)?

29571 is a random number between 20000 and 65535. SIP scanners typically scan for equipment with vulnerabilities around port 5060. Using a high/random port number does not make you invulnerable, but it does make you harder to find. Hopefully, your service will work properly without port forwarding. ...

Re: service down or just me :)?

This could indicate your ATA has been hacked. If you have port forwarding or DMZ to your ATA, you should remove it. You should also set your SIP Port (Line tab) to 29571.

Re: service down or just me :)?

Check the User tab of your ATA for the following: 1) Cfwd *** Dest (there are four). If anything is set here, remove it. 2) DND Setting. If this is set to yes, change to no. Next, change to the Info tab of your ATA and check the following: 3) Registration state. If 1) and 2) do not solve the problem...

Re: Dead air after 10 minutes

I suggest you first try forwarding only the RTP range, but not the SIP port. If that works, it would be significantly more secure than also forwarding the SIP port.

Chances are if the phone rings reliably, forwarding the SIP port is not required.

Line 2 only needs to be disabled if it's unused. If you are using it for some other purpose, set Line Enable to Yes.
