Is your phone set to close applications if your memory reaches a certain low point?
Mine persistently runs in the background, and I've set my phone to clear memory when full and not force close apps to save it.

From within the application, okay. That is a good suggestion and I'll certainly pass it to the dev team, they may even already have it on their list

Re: Frustrated w Dell Service
Many areas do have local phone numbers, and most areas within Canada are free to call; however, the areas in which we are able to provide a local phone number for free is limited. We are of course always looking to expand and with the launch of this product I'm sure the list of areas we provide loca...

The individual exchange might not be added in our rate plan, I believe we encountered an issues like this in the past.
**Update: 1250900 looks to be in our rate plan at $0.02 /minute and was actually just added on Tuesday. Prior to that we didn't even offer calling to that exchange.

Re: Set follow me on cellphone
Dell Voice does have that function, is this what you mean? When someone were to call your Dell Voice number and forwarding was on, it would forward the calls to another number of your choice (toll free and numbers with extensions excluded) and when you left the office you could turn forwarding off s...

Re: Battery drain
I found the battery life on my SGS2 fairly poor regardless of what I was running, however it draining that much in such a short period of time is strange unless you're in the Fongo HQ warehouse where service / signal is something only heard of by rough description. I will discuss with our developmen...

Re: Issue with call forwarding
Did you force quit the application, or log off through account settings? If you force quit it will take some time for it to deregister (in my experience while trying to break the app anyway), though 30 minutes seems a bit much. Have you tried actually logging out of the phone, then dialling your Del...

Re: Fongo connection failed - Click To Retry
I have nearly the exact same setup as you (until I recently changed it - Self admitted serial flasher), and though almost all Android phones have issues connecting with 802.1x EAP networks (such as ours at the office) I was able to get it running just fine, made a call to my desk phone, had a nice c...

When you say reset, do you mean the iPhone actually reboots itself after crashing? Have you download the latest update?

At this time freephoneline.ca account holders are unable to use Dell Voice mobile applications, and must register for a new account. We are looking into an easier option for customers hoping to switch over, but currently there is no plan in place for them.

Re: Fongo Name Transition
In order to use Dell Voice, you must sign up for a Dell Voice account. Steve mentioned here http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?p=21094#p21094 that we're working on a better way to switch existing users.

Re: No Connection
No difficulties that I am aware of, what sort of firewall / anti-virus are you running on your PC?
If you haven't already, run the 'Test Connection' function in the desktop app to better diagnose the issue. On your Android tablet, are you using 3G or WiFi?

Re: Re: Dell and Fongo Offer Free VoIP Calling App
Since it is VOIP, anywhere you start the app would be like starting it in your own house here in Canada; the only difference would be the data charges you'd be hammered with for roaming over 3G in Mexico - If you turn off data and just you wifi however, you should be fine.

Until you log in successfully there is no configuration, which is why it fails. Happened to me the first time I started it without a data connection.

Re: Is vibrate the only Dialpad key feedback?
I am going to say yes, that could be why you're not getting any audible feedback from the button presses. I am able to hear it when my ringer is on, and when I turn it on silent (vibrations enabled) I do not.

Re: Anyone else get android image chopped off?
Are you certian it is 1.7.3? I've just re-downloaded it and it appears to be 1.2.3.
This happened to me once when I first installed it, however after going into application preferences and clearing the data + rebooting my phone it's been fine.

I don't think it is the fault of the application. I was able to maintain a phone call to my cell phone from Dell Voice (same phone... :)) as well as to my phone here at the office for about 3:00 minutes each after which I ended the call. Just to be safe, I called a Holiday Inn in St. Johns; Simon wa...
