I have been getting this recently as well.
setup as follows
Shaw high speed
d-link dir-615 w/ddwrt
pap2
I don't recall the issue before the last upgrade. Funnily enough I find it cuts out most often when im talking to my gf (home & cell) versus other people.

Re: how to send a sms or text message?
I tried txt'ing my FPL from my cell for fun, the message does not go through. Not that it really matters ,why would you need or want to receive a txt on a phone that can not send txt's anywaysTHUFIR wrote:What happens when FPL receives an SMS? (Tried to fit in another TLA, but no such luck

ya.... I think I like FPL more than those guys. I looked into them when they were doing beta testing and offered the service for free with apparently no stings attached, but something just didn't seem right.

Re: How many people have been lied to by FPL
Same here...they advertised free phone line...I got a working free phone line. They said 10 days when I ordered my SIP config...I got it in 10 business days. So far, I don't think I had been lied to. ;) same here, I have never had any issues with FPL. In fact I'm very happy with the service they pr...

Re: Freephoneline Number is not in service
Alrighty then....since the focus seems to be on trivial matters, how about we get down to the real issue? Why is the Freephoneline number not in service when attempting to call it from a landline or a cellular phone? It once again doesn't work. It might be a wise idea to PM steve or admin your FPL ...

Re: Freephoneline Voicemail Visual Aid
Fantastic, so much easier to have a graph to look at over trying to navigate your way through the voice prompts! Question, is there a way to change the date/time so it says the correct time zone? For instance, I'm in BC and if a message is left on my VM at 6pm PST when I listen to my VM it says the ...

I would hazard a guess saying you have your ATA configured correctly. The only difference I noticed between your settings and mine is that under provisioning I have my set to "no" and you have yours set as "yes"

Re: Busy signal
So I hooked the ATA directly up to the trendnet router (which is now directly after the modem), and it worked. I'm waiting 5 minutes to repeat the test, to see if the issue is solved or not. in the trendnet router make sure you have the right port forwarded to the ata. In the pap2 under Line 1 (ass...

I bet thats your problem. You need to disable one of the routers from acting as a DCHP server and make it operate as a hub instead.ap236 wrote: I'm behind two routers

I get the same message with my cell phone(bell mobility) calling my FPL #. but I having checked my cell phone bills I have never actually been charged the LD to make the call. Might be worth your time to check and see if its the same with you.

Re: Recommended Dial string: why there is no 'S0' terminator?
I dont think I understand your question
you can make a "705 area code" call now bye just dialing xxx-xxxx. Why would you want to dial 705-xxx-xxxx when you dont have to? Or are you trying to call a different area code such as vancouver 604-xxx-xxxx and having the call fail?

how would I add a default area code of 705 for my dial plan? I'm trying to figure out this formula you guys are using and it's bit over my head right now! (911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.) I need this as my kids and I don't normally dial out using the area co...

The idea is simply that you simply the dialing process. What this dial-plan accomplishes is making it such that if you pick up and dial 411 (as many will do by instinct for D.A.) it dials the free Goog411 Directory Assistance. On top of simplifying the process for you the informed user, it will sim...

As we dont know If/when FPL will add this option you always have the ability to add your number to the national do not call list in the meantime.
