Re: Whatsapp!
This is exactly my question. In my worst case, it seems that I have to port the number back to a real service provider, get the SMS code to verify my number for whatsapp. Should I be responsible for paying fongo again? We are upfront about the fact that we don't support short codes and verification...

Re: scammer calls
It is likely nothing Fibernetics can do about it. The scammer can spoof any phone number. Fibernetics can only police it's own network, it has no control over others.

Re: Someone's spoofing my number
There is nothing Fongo can do about this. A spammer has decided to use your phone number for their caller ID. They could have used any number, it just happens to be a phone number tied to you. Fongo has no control over this because it has nothing to do with their network, and they have no associatio...

Re: Can't install Freephoneline window app
I would not use the Freephoneline windows app as a metric for quality on the SIP settings. I would personally use the Fongo Android or iphone app, and if that works well with your internet setup, the SIP setting should work fine also. There is no support for the Freephoneline windows app, I believe ...

Re: Port Request - Time Required & Follow-Ups From Staff
I cannot give you a good answer because I am a customer, just like you. But I have had a similar problem with customer support, and it took a couple of months to resolve. I wanted to do a port and swap some numbers. The port worked rather quickly, but the swap took a while. I can only guess that any...

It is a prepaid service. Quit paying them money. Remove your credit info.

I am having the same problem. I want to do is a number swap from Fongo services. Not getting anything. They were able to do a number port in though. Anything that involves getting paid gets dealt with I suppose.

Quick answer is yes, but you need to make sure the phone entry to the house is physically disconnected. I would never assume it is. The easier option is to get a cordless phone set.

Re: Newbie question: Can I text landlines
Short answer is no. But as said, there are some receiving carriers that can convert a text message to voice, but Fongo has no say in this. All the Fongo package can do is send text messages. If the receiving party cannot accept text messages, there is not much Fongo can do.

You might have to submit a request to get it cleared out. https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
I always considered the Freephoneline voicemail indicator as wonky, and found it better to bypass it completely by setting the voice mail to go directly to email.

Re: Can not call Canadian Yukon phone number
Unfortunately, the carrier rate to Yukon is too much for Fongo to offer for free. Fongo is a business, and they expect to make money.mbzadegan wrote:waoo,
I am sorry.
In this case, I leave very bad feedback for fongo because yukon territory is belong to canada and under +1 country phone code.

Re: Unable to make or receive calls from Grandstream 801
I am not familiar with this router, but I am comfortable in saying it is the source of your problems. Your options are to forward ports to the ATA, if you can do that. If you cannot do that, you can put the modem/router in gateway mode, and use a better router.

Re: poor connectivity
What do you have for a phone? I am wondering if your phone is able to access all the frequencies that Rogers has available. It does appear you should have Rogers coverage in your areas. It is possible there are too many Rogers subscribers connected to those cell sites, and slowing down performance o...

Silly question, but happens when you download the latest Java runtime? The Freephoneline java clients has not been supported for a long time, nor do I see that happening any time soon. I am not a Mac person, so I do not even know how viable this is for you, but have you ever considered running an an...

This is an unbelievable useless answer for your problem, but use Obihai gear instead. The problem with Cisco gear is that it is unbelievably intolerant to misconfiguration. Usually it is your router that is causing the problem, and if you do not have it set properly, Cisco gear does not help to fix ...

Re: Sim Card Activation
I have the Worldline SIM card, I do not know if the Fongo SIM card is different.
For LTE, I use this APN
ltemobile.apn
I would make sure data is turned on in the phone, and reset the phone after each change.
