Re: Receiving call problem

Did that work for you?

It's a blanket statement they're giving. I only have 5060 and 5061 forwarded (I have another voip outbound line) and mine works perfect.

Re: Receiving call problem

Use port forwarding - My linksys flashed with dd-wrt works perfectly with port forwarding. 5060 if you have 1 line, 5061 if you have 2 lines incoming to your ATA.

Make sure you have the most recent version of DD-wrt (not necessary, but always best to keep up to date.)

If you've paid for SIP, your number is excluded from their removal processes. AKA once you've paid, you don't expire.

Re: Please Help me for understanding:

It's not really the Serial numbers, it's more so the model and version.

http://dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database

Stick in WRT54

Have a look at what routers are supported and what versions. You'll see most of them are supported, just a few couple of versions.

According to http://dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database

Flashing the WRT320N is possible. Then you can for SURE make a wireless bridge.

Yes, it is, but don't forget, as the TOS for E911 state you must update your profile to your new location.

If you had a router with DYNDNS update ability, like DD-WRT or other firmware, you can have the router do the updates vs ubuntu. Either way it accomplishes the task.

Re: No voice on calls (including incoming)

Opening the ports on the firewall of your computer is one thing, but you also have to tell your modem/router to forward the internet traffic that calls these ports. Depending on your type of router, it may be called "Port fowarding" or "Special applications". Check with your mod...

And it's better off to find out the local phone number from your local gino's and call them directly. Not only will you always get your order right, but you can call ahead, and pick up, and get the walk in special of the location.

Re: SpeedTouch 780WL - Hangup detection problems

Make sure your load number is not too high for your ATA. Phone lines, be it from Bell or from an ATA device, can manage up to X phones in capacity. Certain devices can consume more than others. If you have a few phones and an answering machine, you might be nearing the capacity of the ATA. Try to u...
