Receiving call problem

Post by seagame2001 »

I just bought config file last week and I used Linksys PAP2-T NA model. I did some test that if I let the box sit from 5 or 6 hours then I used my cell phone to call FPL. No ring then went to voic mail. If I unplug the power and reconnect I will receiving call.

I set registration 3600 and I changed to 180.

Help please, I want to receive call all the time. I have Rogers internet. Dlink 615 router flashed to DD-WRT

Use port forwarding - My linksys flashed with dd-wrt works perfectly with port forwarding. 5060 if you have 1 line, 5061 if you have 2 lines incoming to your ATA.

Make sure you have the most recent version of DD-wrt (not necessary, but always best to keep up to date.)

I am having the same problem. I dial 10 times and I can get 1 or 2 time working from a regular phone line. It doesn't goto vm and I only can hear "do do" sound. If I using FPL to call, it went to vm 8 out 10 times.

Is the FPL reach the limitation of routing? or they are having problem?

Dial out is OK. Dial-in ...... sometime work..........hehe...

This is not a Freephoneline problem,. Your router is not configured properly, and it does not know where to route SIP VOIP from the internet to your ATA. You correctly configure your router, and the problem will go away. I assume you still have a DD WRT router?

What ports do I have to open on the router? I use line 1 on my linksys ATA

Did that work for you?

It's a blanket statement they're giving. I only have 5060 and 5061 forwarded (I have another voip outbound line) and mine works perfect.

for pap2t rough instructions:

- Dial **** - then type in 73738# - confirm this by pressing 1
- Update latest firmware
- Dial **** - then type in 73738# - confirm this by pressing 1

----

- System Tab. DHCP no, pick ip, subnet, gateway, dns. set ntp to pool.ntp.org
- Sip Tab. RTP Packet to 0.020
- Provisioning Tab. Provisioning and Upgrade to No.
- Regional Tab. Ring Wave Sinusoud, Ring Freq 52, Ring Volt 90. Time Zone -5 (for est), DST Rule: start=3/8/7/2:00;end=11/1/7/2:00;save=1
- Line 1 Tab. Nat Mapping and Nat Keep alive Yes, Proxy voip.freephoneline.ca, Register Expire: 180, Block CID Serv: No
- Line 2 Tab. Disable if not using.

In your router forward ports tcp/udp for ports under SIP tab and Ports under Line1+Line2(if being used)

If it fails after this ... you need a new router or upgrade the fw or reflash open/dd/tomato on it.

DD-WRT here, no ports forwarded and my line works flawlessly.
