IPKALL
IPKALL.COM is offering a free washinton state phone number.
I would like to forward any incoming calls to this free phonenumber to my Freephoneline account---to my ATA device----so my phone would ring.
Anybody managed to do this ?
If YES ....please provide details !
Thanks!

Re: IPKALL
As you found out, you can't forward it to FPL as it requires you to enter a SIP address.
How I do it here is to use my callcentric account which is registered with my PBX. I believe you can do it by setting up an account with someone like no-ip.com and then registering that address with IPKall, but I have not tested it as it works fine the way I am doing it.

Re: IPKALL
Your SP2100 has two incoming lines so you could just add a free Voip account such as getonsip.com, log it on to line 2 and then forward IPKall to that account. The other method is to forward IPKall to an account that you create with dyndns.org or no-up.com which can work if your ATA is correctly configured (works but not very reliable). Blocking anonymous SIP calls is very common as you have found and I wish this was not the case with Fongo because they do not provide local DIDs in my area (NL) so I have to obtain one from elsewhere and point it to another voip service.

Re: IPKALL
I have been use IPKall at least 4 years seen I bought my iPhone. I used iPKall with google voice
You can use it with FPL but you can't make out going call. However with Google voice then you can use it it with out going or incoming call

Re: IPKALL
IPKall is for incoming calls only and IPKall makes money on the termination charges. It is/was used to provide a US number to get Google Voice to work for non US residents who strictkly speaking cannot use Google Voice for free calls.seagame2001 wrote:I have been use IPKall at least 4 years seen I bought my iPhone. Re: IPKALL
True, but, unless things have changed recently you need to be in, or appear to be in the US, to get a Google voice account to use the services.
Re: IPKALL
That is still true, to be able to sign up you have to be in, or use a connection from, the US. After that you can use it from Canada.dibsmft wrote:True, but, unless things have changed recently you need to be in, or appear to be in the US, to get a Google voice account to use the services.
The easiest way around it is to either use a proxy, or get someone in the US to sign up for you.

Re: IPKALL
no need to confuse with proxy
I can sign up Google Voice in Canada so easy to do it
just change your IP address to US and you can sign up for Google voice
Google voice last step need US numbers to verify your google voice account
