Just got an invoice for SIP that was paid in Feb.

Post by TSellers »

I just got an invoice (found in my Gmail SPAM filter) for my SIP settings dated July 10 from Freephoneline.ca for $52.50.

However, my credit card was billed by 'Worldline Waterloo ON' on Feb 10 this year for that charge, for the same line (I only have the one line).

Could this have been a billing error, similar to the other email that got sent out by mistake earlier this summer?

It's nothing to worry about - it is in fact an invoice for your original purchase back in February. At that time we never had any emailable/printable invoices available, and now that we've switched over to the new system a script is sending the original invoices out to people. I'd have to look into why this is happening though.

OK thanks Steve,

I figured as much.

The reason it caught my attention was because it was an 'Invoice' and asked me to send a payment ( a 'receipt' would have been perfect). However it is good to have an invoice for bookeeping, in fact it was a good reminder to enter it in my books as an expense.

Yeah - unfortunately the invoices use a generic template so it looks like it's asking for payment even from those who've paid.
Unfortunately when implementing new systems it's hard to plan for what unexplainable things they may start doing and by the time we catch them they've already managed to send things to one too many customers!

I just got a invoice for a config file also. Received it seven minutes ago. The invoice clearly states a balance due of $56.50. I would assume there are going to be a lot of confused/angry callers because of this. Maybe FL should send out a email clarifying the situation, or issue receipts.

We have resolved the entire situation and customers will only receive one (1) invoice from now on. If you do receive another invoice, please note the charges reflected will not be charged at all.
