Avaya G250 PBX/Gateway - Sip Trunking

Post by peco »

Hi,
Does this service only work with ATAs?
I would like to try this service on an Avaya G250 Media Gateway that is equipped to handle Sip trunking with several codecs including G.729a.
I'm sure I can get this service to work by way of feeding the analog dial tone from the ATA into the G250 as an analog trunk, but it would be much better if the
G250 can connect/communicate directly with the FPL service.

Has anyone tried this service on endpoints other than ATAs?

I have our service here working in the office with a Snom m3 SIP/PBX Phone, it works great, audio quality is good for the amount of wireless phones and networks we have in the building.

I would think it would be fine, though it is a media gateway and you might have some issues going from straight SIP using proxies not IP's etc.

Admin,

Any chance you cost post the settings for that? I have an m3 lying around and would love to use it with freephoneline.

Here are some screenshots, hope they are helpful -- Any other config is done by your discretion.

For the newbs --> SETTINGS IN THIS SIP PHONE ARE NOT THE SAME AS OUR OR ANY OTHER ATA. DON'T USE THESE FOR ANYTHING BUT THE SNOM M3 SIP PHONE.

NEW SNOM M3 PHONES OR OLD UPDATING FROM V1.7 TO v202 BE ADVISED THAT THE FIRMWARE UPDATE TAKES ABOUT 2.5 HOURS TO COMPLETE.
